grävling - i would imagine (guessing at this moment, can't test now) that the loop is caused by Escape. Are you Escaping each time? If you want to truly Escape the loop, move far enough away from the trap that when you Escape you are not standing in it anymore. Or just kill everyone? Logged as a bug to fix!

I always killed everybody. Stealth exited, not Normal, though. After 3 times, it just worked. No idea what, if anything I did differently.

I think what Fallen is implying is that there are specific locations which are traps. If you step into that location again, you trigger it again and get a new encounter. Interesting--I hadn't realized that.

About negotiate missions -- It's nice that Flynn wants to give us jobs with more pay, but since the Face character is not available for Made not Born, we don't have the skill for it. Seriously. There is a purpose to have us fail missoin after missoin after mission??

grävling - train some negotiation? I found that by dumping a little XP in Negotiate (as instructed earlier by Mercer), I was able to successfully complete most of them. If you have a Heat Wave on (sorry about that!) you will fail every one. Still -- maybe Intimidate is more appropriate. However, it better fits the reality of the tunnels to be Negotiating, considering the tight space and close proximity.

I did put some points into negotiate and threaten -- at 1000 clams a job, it would pay its own way -- but alas, they all failed.

grävling - its not just the Heat Wave ... Heat is accounted for the Negotiate roll. So, you have to keep an eye on that business regardless of the Rumor. @ahab - you've got it right -- there are "trap zones" in there and it sounds like there is a bug that if you end a combat in the "trap zone" with your character (sometimes) it loops. We had fixed and tested this thoroughly before the release, but perhaps something is causing it to come back, or it has to do with a specific device (or the speed of the device). It is -not- intentionally that the trap would fire multiple times.

There is another VIP room in the tunnels. This one is in the Drug Den, in the Southern Tunnels. This one is owned by Streets. I've never managed to get a positive rep with Streets, but it might be possible.

While you are making it impossible to get a heat wave in the tunnels, maybe we shouldn't be able to get the high paying jobs bonus, too. I am getting one now. And gthat Fredric didn't comment on it may be confusing ...

Mallor True leaves too early. He should teach you about capture missions. In particular, he needs to teach you that you need to get a weapon that does mental damage -- so a taser, a shock glove, or a blasta gun -- and that if you kill your target you lose the contract. Or possibly you should have to kill all of shady's gang but capture him so he can be taken in a sack for interrogration someplace? At any rate, how to capture somebody is still something that you have to learn the hard way in the game. ------- I see now that you are supposed to get how to kill and capture lessons from Fredric. But I think this is a bad idea. This is precisely the sort of thing that Mallor should teach, so you can get one of those 'when you are in a fight it will all become clear to you' experiences. Plus he is wrong -- he says you have to pummel the person unconscious. This is not true. A blasta gun or a taser work wonders. And this 'if you are kidnapping someone its (s/its/it's) not as easy to slip away' stuff is also pure nonsense. It is clear Fredric has never done any of this. He also thinks that the CK transports the kidnapped one. This never happens. Try this instead: If you are kidnapping someone, your part of the job ends when the mark is unconscious and all the guards are either unconscious or dead. Somebody else will be around to transport the target wherever he needs to go -- but they naturally will not show their face while you are around. So that's why you have to take care of all the guards -- if you leave one standing, even if it's only a dog, the transport team will never move in, and the job will fail. You won't get paid, and you will earn the lasting displeasure of your employer. But sometimes -- well, just remember that displeasure is better than death. I think this whole -- I would like you to reach XXX rep messages from Fredric are a very bad idea. What you want is the knight to keep hammering the 'what's next ' button, so they have some chance of getting these messages before they get the job. Instead, I waoited until I had reached that level before thinking to ask 'what's next' which means I kept getting the jobs first. I think that it would be better if Fredric was completely silent about how much rep it takes to reach the next rungs of his ladder. It is enough that he tells you that as your rep with the Fennians increase I will offer you better paying jobs -- which he could very early on, the first time the CK complains about pay. Also, Fredric says, when he starts handing out assasination missions and capture ones that 'you have reached this point of my ladder'. But latetr he says that his whole job catalog is open to you. So if you have reached the top, he should say 'the top', not 'this point'. BUt if there are still a few more rungs left, then he should say that instead. I think we are at the second last rung -- the only one left is graduation to the NBZ. So I think it would be better to skip this 'concerned Frederic just wants you to reach 50 rep so he knows you can handle it topside' but rather Frederic thinks that you are ready now. But Luka and Mercer won't let you leave until Fredric says that you are ready, and like any smart Connector, Frederic isn't willing to let you go until he has a certain amount of these difficult jobs taken care of. So while he cannot put Mercer and Luka off forever, he certainly can make them wait until you have at least rep 50 with the Fennians....

good idea gravling - for new player it would probably help with capturing
i think about one more thing - when Oxca gives you V-Chip, maybe aditional text could shows up like hit grey button with weapon on it at bottom of interface, to get into inventory menu

I have found that the change to start with "Carried" instead of equipped has reduced the number of questions about V-Chips by about 60%
