Kind of a technical question that might be better suited to Cory. How easy is it to make a compatible version of a game for both Android and IoS? I ask because when I reviewed Mechwarrior: Tactical Command earlier this year the Personae Studios rep said they had developed their own engine as well, but didn't have the money (nor even the inclination to crowdfund) to port it over to Android- where I believe they would have done much better business.

dayan - the important thing is to start with a pre-existing game engine (we picked Cocos 2DX) and a platform independent language (we picked C++). It took us 3 years to learn enough to take the plunge and to invest in the major jump to a new engine, new code language, and to tackle multiple platforms. Our existing games are in the same position as Mechwarrior: Tactical command - porting or rebuilding is a dangerously large task. Star Traders did make it to iOS, but it took 9 months of work.

Team, The last KickStarter update accidentally went to backers only! I don't want to bug the backers again by re-sending it, so I am syndicating it here: ==== It is a very exciting day here at Trese Brothers HQ! It has been a long journey, and no game project has transformed Cory and I more than Heroes of Steel. With your help and support, Cory has tackled a new programming language, mastered a new game engine, and overcome the multi-platform challenge. With your help and support, I have trained my art to new levels, set my sights even higher on what I can achieve next, learned a new 2D animation framework, produced my first fully animated game, and penned an epic and grim storyline for a game I have been dreaming about for years. But the next major milestone in the journey -- possibly the most exciting milestone -- is just ahead. Our gaze is currently focused on December 5th for the submission date for Heroes of Steel to Google Play, Amazon, and the iOS App Store. So close now, just 8 days away! We are doing final testing, content preparation and balancing, and working through the suggestions, ideas, and bugs coming out of Phase 3 Alpha. In preparation for launch, we have completed the first gameplay trailer. We hope that you will see in this video exactly how far Heroes of Steel and Trese Brothers have come since the game's original conception, and what we have been able to do with your amazing backing and support. We also hope that you will share this footage far and wide and beat the drum to get your friends and the gamers you know excited about the upcoming release. Enjoy! youtu.be/EUabKjL9iTQAs we approach the market launch, we have also nailed down the final pricing for the game's different elements. The game will come with 4 base characters and a multi-hour story prologue included. From there, the story is structured in 4 Episodes sold at $0.99 each. The additional character varieties (Dueler, Sorcerer, Paladin, Rogue) will be available for $1.99 each. We have also laid the foundation and I have started the sketches for the extra 4 characters from the Epic Character Expansion (now Mercenary, Elementalist, Monk, Assassin) and they are planned for early 2014 updates at $1.99. Even more exciting news -- we are looking at early 2014 for OUYA support. When we get to the OUYA, we are also looking at other game-centric devices and hope to be able to put out a release to the MOGA and even possibly the NVidia Shield. Finally, we have been searching and seeking for a way to give back to all of our backers. As we look into 2014, we have plans for a Windows PC distribution of Heroes of Steel. We have done a lot of testing to show how well the game runs on Windows PC already, but haven’t touched Mac OS yet -- so that is still up in the air. However, this will be the one distribution channel in which we actually have full control over how we charge for and distribute the game. This gives us the opportunity to give back to all of our backers in the way that you deserve! We are looking toward March of 2014 for the release to Windows PC - and when it is available, we will give a free version of Heroes of Steel (including all story episodes and the first 4 additional characters) to every single backer. I hope this update finds you and yours well and that you are enjoying the holiday season! Thank again for your support! Andrew Trese Trese Brothers - Two Brothers on a Mission

fallen, really happy for you guys getting this game out, and pretty excited as well to give it a spin. One question based on the last update. Are there in-game ways to unlock the extra episodes and characters?

I must of overlooked that kickstarter update, and am really glad to see it posted here. I have Amazon Kindle based questions. Day one I want all the HOS I can get. 1. Will Amazon be able to provide the individual $1.99 updates, or is that in app purchase? 2. If it is in app purchase, Do I just click a button on the HOS splash screen to purchase? 3. Can You buy everything available in HOS in a single purchase if you want to? Wow! December 5th Amazing work guys

Skipped right over beta release- or just making it a completely open beta?

contributor - those are directly purchasable options (IAPs). @johnrobison - it will be on Amazon as quickly as Amazon reviews and posts it. All of the add-ons are permanent IAPs. There will be a Store button off the main menu which you can use to purchase the available options. There will be only be 2 premium characters and 1 Episode available at launch. All purchases in HoS are itemized -- buy what you want. dayan - Alpha was definitely not a normal alpha where you find bugs and work out software. It was a balancing and gameplay review, maybe call it beta? The game is polished -- more polished and ready than any Trese Brother game has been before it upon market release.

Holy Fucking Bullshit!! Quiek!!! HoS on Windows... -Cries because of excitement- HoS on Mac... -Wants to hug every one of the participants- Ohhh, myyy, goooooooood!!! OMG, this is awesome!!! Lil question: Could it be possible for you two to add the Hund art of HoS to CK? Mooooving hunds... -freaks out completely!- Oh, and: I hope that HoS will make you millionaires, really. Okay, maybe that'd be a bit too much, but I really hope it'll net you a nice stack of cash... Hmm.. what about 50k each? How long you'd survive with an extra bullet 50,000$? Jacob - glad you're excited about the news of PC / potential Mac release. This was not on our commitment list for KickStarter, so it will be the last thing we do -- but its coming! We cannot add the Hund animations back to Cyber Knights -- the game engines are so radically different we can't add the full animation. We could perhaps add 3 of the frames of the animation.

Even that would be awesome as heck! Glad that the PC Port is coming, how much you're going to charge us for this feature?

Jacob - my understanding is that it would cost the same as the mobile version.
