I don't want to clog up the forum with single posts for all of these, but if you want me to, I will. However, here's a short list of bugs I've come across:
- Still getting lots of spy contracts against Independent planets
- Whatever the "trade records" ability is, it doesn't seem to work, or at least not how it's described. I've done lots of big trades and never had any records show up, either as a merchant or a smuggler.
- No rank ships are showing up (as mentioned in previous thread)
- I can't find any "surveillance" skill
- On about 50% of new game starts, the screen comes in as black, but you can still auto navigate to the first planet. To "unblack" the screen, I usually have to kill the app and restart.
- Every now and then, a harvest or explore will go to a screen with no text. The "back" button is the only thing present.
- Maybe working as intended, but in the Elite version, the unlock and awards screens still say "only available in elite"
- Maybe it's not up to the correct version with it, but there's no "cache" option that people keep talking about
- The Explorer's wound protection ability, does it negate wounds or just lower the chance of them? Explorer/non-explorer classes seem to injure the same amount
- About half of the wounds received say that the captain now has a health one-off from the actual amount (like 10 instead of 9)
- When my ship was destroyed and my captain used the escape shuttle, the log in ship screen says that my ship (null) was destroyed by (null)
- An exploit: if you recruit men in the spice hall, but still need more, you can click on "rumor" in either the spice hall or the palace and them usually be able to recruit more men. This gave me literally an infinite supply of soldiers, who I used for extensive exploration-trading.
- At least to the level of Crazy (highest I've played), planets have an inexhaustible explore/harvest supply. This allowed me to planet sit the planets from difficulty levels 3-6 at the beginning of the game and trade my reputation up. It was pretty easy to exploit and allowed me to reach 151 rep in all clans with little trouble.
- There are some ship engine/solar sail/upgrade/pilot combinations that allow for 0 fuel consumption. I exploited this to spam-patrol a safe zone until I got the turn of the dark century award. Took me about 30 minutes.
- The message the political officer gives you when you complete a mission where you were tricked gets cut off, so I've never been able to tell who I just pissed off.
- If you have more than one message, they just overlap each other and end at the same time
- The exploration/harvest screen doesn't show the amount of space you have in your cargo, while looting a ship does
- Sometimes the amount of crew available to enslave after capturing a ship exceeds the number of maximum crew their ship can carry.
- The number of merchants selling ships in the star port seems to make no difference. Any number 1 or greater allows access to any of the ships (with the exception of that independent planet at the bottom of the map, who has a few you can't find).
- The "all upgrades" event that is supposed to make every upgrade available doesn't.
