It was as bad as someone sliding chalk on a boardI now get to meet people who have made it all the way to university without ever experiencing 'chalk on chalkboard'. It's all 'markers on whiteboard' for them. Gods auntie Gravling .... I feel so old now.  Soon is all going to be Flat screens... I think I've been evil enough with the lack of any information from our evil bastard. Today's Cerberus' post is the last one I will post until after April 12. Really. Originally was going to be 3 different posts, but I can't keep coming back here or I'll be more irresponsible with my duties then I already am. Writer's flood is a bitch. Updating were I am on this writing project. Actually wrote about 2000 more words of this story already, but won't seriously clean and edit until after April 12. Trying to get a feel for the factions (thanks blackgauntlet your short stories helps a lot to organize my thoughts) and how the Global Matrix will be described. At the moment I'm thinking of a twist between TRON and a short clip from the game Command and Conquer when crackers attack a security node. Its very nice if no one has seen it. A note on my use of names for 1 character. I happen to use many names that apply to the same ... vessel: Abel Kross, Gravestone, newborn. As the story develops I hope to provide pointed reasons for each, why each one has its own place within the complex twisted/insane being I have mostly describe as 'Newborn" up to this points. Also, I freely interchange the words it/he/them constantly. One sentence will have an 'it', the next a 'he'. This is deliberate. I am trying to convey the difficulties involved in the landscape of a melding of minds. I hope that point got across. I also use bold, italics, and underline freely for similar reasons, though a tiny bit more complex as will become apparent. Some of you already suspect the complexities. This is going to be a ... long writing project, I -think-. I can easily see 100k words depending on the options the story development provides. Outline wise I got the general ending down, though as books or stories sometimes write themselves *shrug*. As always: None of my writing is to be considered canon. It is here for fun, nothing more, nothing less. edit: Ugh sorry I was half asleep when I wrote this one, blackgauntlet. Didn't mean to misspell the name Fixed. rabid |

Thank you all. I'm just an amateur, but I appreciate the encouragement. I'm also pretty critical of myself. I've read the last scene posted yesterday a couple of times and it feels a little off .... hurried. It lacks something ... maybe pageantry. So I'll probably rewrite it a little at some point. Special thanks to Gravling. She points out spelling errors. I guess she doubles as an on and off editor for me.  rabid Edit: yep edited it. I think it flows better now. |
