Great start! But uh... do I pronounce the bugger's name as "Dot Dat" or "Period Dat"? It is supposed to be pronounced Dat like Cat. But perhaps the computer syntax makes it confusing and maybe I should drop the period. Did anyone else find this confusing? |

I was pronouncing it as 'dot-dat'.

As someone who's always played Hacker (and has various characters in non-related fan-fiction that hack), that was pretty cool.
And just to put my ¥2 in, I pronounced it as the file extension (dot-dat).

Cool thanks for the feedback everyone. Changed the name a bit and did some other quick edits to enhance readability. Looking forward to digging into part 2. I have several characters in mind for this story. We'll be meeting someone new in part 2! Also looking forward to reading other writers pieces on this site as I can. It is hard for me to sit and read much. |

Chapter 2 is in the works. It is longer then chapter 1 still a bit more work to do on it.
I have a question though. I plan to make this a fairly ongoing project. At least that is the plan.
Should I make a separate comment thread? That seems to keep the story cleaner and easier to read. Or should I wait til it's done and move it all into one thread as the instructions indicate, this seems like double work to me.
Anyway let me know what you think.
