I always try to true zealot. But at some point I get into the groove and miss a toast that someone is pissed off at someone-or-nother and my faction has me at -50. Cant hide my transactions from nobody.

dayan, the True Zealot type challenge will usually have a grace period while you are getting up and running - normally a particular level or number of turns. I'd probably recommend that you must have at least 200RP with your home faction when you hit level 10 or at the year 100AE (whichever comes first). This means at the beginning when you end up accidentally dipping into -ve territory, you've got a chance to claw your position back. On top of True Zealot favoring your home faction, for me, a TZ should have an undying hate of another faction. Therefore, I suggest that not only should you get the highest reputation with your home faction, but at least one faction should be as negative as you could possibly make it. I would go further to suggest that Steel Song is this faction that EVERYONE should hate ... but I'd like to keep an open mind <grin>. Scoring would be Home faction reputation + the absolute value of the lowest faction reputation score. If you had: Cadar (home) +2192 De Valtos +182 Rychart -19 Thulun -874 Javat -1510 Steel Song -9085 Then your score would be 2192 + 9085 = 11277 I'm sure you can throw in bonus points for numbers of kills, numbers of contracts, etc ... but I don't have any preference on what or how. Normal fine print: Can't restart game after level 12 or turn 2,000 Game ends when: - turn 10,000 is reached - you die - your RP with home faction drops below 200 after year 100AE SLAYERNZ's Award - if anyone can beat my -ve Steel Song reputation, I'll defer to your awesomeness for the month and also have to come up with some sort of badge or award that I can get out

slayernz, I'm thinking of doubling or tripling the value of your Home faction rep and limiting how much you could get from low rep with other factions (i.e. it can't surpass the value of your positive rep.). That way the challenge will really revolve around getting your rep as high as possible with your home faction rather than sinking it with other factions, which easily done. This is the "True Zealot" challenge not the "Royal Pain In The Ass" challenge. dayan would you mind contributing a banner image for the challenge? Perhaps a Cadar captain and a Steel Song captain facing off or something?

Is anyone up for a ST challenge if I organize one. I've got two relatively good ideas. Hometown Hero: Get the most awards with one captain True Zealot: Go all-out for your favorite faction, winning them glory on the forums I'd be down! I'm busy these days, but I still try to keep up with what is going on over here. |

Make the Steel Song captain pretty much defeated, with a burnt torn uniform, blood streaks on his face and shoulder with a resigned look on his face.
That's what I'm used to seeing ... would just be weird seeing it any other way. Seeing a non-defeated Steel Song captain would be like seeing a Xeno wearing a party dress!

With comments like that it makes it really hard to decide who to play for the challenge. I have a real soft spot for Rychart, but at the same time it would be so much fun to beat slayernz (again) with a Steel Song captain. |

I like the true zealot challenge idea, any specific timeline for it? I'll try to clear out some time in my schedule to take part. I'll also take you up on the Slayernz challenge, I bet you I can be a better friend to Steel Song than you can be an enemy to them!

In 10,000 turns, I am expecting that I can get Steel Song down to -12,000 RP, so good luck! As for the start ... logically, we should start on the 14th of October. THat's the 2nd week of the month, and we are due for a challenge then. |
