Ah, it's the classic "I'll pretend to target you directly but fire randomly and hit you when you do your inevitable dodge ploy"
Another Cadar tactic "Shoot first, shoot fast, shoot often, shoot everything you got and pray that something will hit"

I'll definitely buy your second explanation. The first one gives them credit for to much intelligence.

There are Templar Pirates? I'm starting to rethink all these ship and Stardock raids where we collect up artifacts and shoot heretics, but don't find any aliens. I'm going to have to ask the Chaplain about this!

We might not speak alien, and aliens might not speak human, but we all speak torp.

cory, we need to talk about the damage calculation, because these ships should not be able to countinue flying

Hah! Typical Cadar. All that overkill, and nothing to show for it. The question is: Is the Slayernz Cruiser all flash and no fury? Or is Starfixer catastrophically unlucky? Either way, it makes for amusing screenshots

View Attachment cory, we need to talk about the damage calculation, because these ships should not be able to countinue flying Maybe it's 1650 worth of morale damage. The crew are probably lying on the floor, foaming at the mouth.

MAYBE it's 1650 worth of self-inflicted damage. The crew saw that it was (a)Starfixer coming at them in (b)a Frikkin Slayernz Cruiser. Your shot merely grazed their paint, but they detonated every single torp they had in the hope that you'd think there wasn't any reason to board them anymore.

That much damage, and no hull breach or dead enemy captain.....were you shooting with BB guns again, or going for total solar sail annihilation?

does morale damage even do anything? how about a maximum morale damage, like 1000, and once reached the enemy crew morale would be so low they wouldn't even bother to fight and just surrender? the 1000 role would only apply to morale damage, not enemy HP damage or ship visable damage. because right now it seems like there's no limit to the morale damage you can inflict, and everything has its limit.

Wow, this thread has convinced me never to buy a Slayernz Cruiser. Clearly they're defective.
