Hey George, that's very very screwy. One last screenshot request - go into the hall of records, select "all awards", and screenshot whether the blackheart award has been marked as achieved or not. Another option you have (and with your current skills and level it's VERY high risk), you could go for the independent captain award. -127 RP with each faction (I think it's that number). If you get that, you'll HAVE to get the black heart award. Third option - try getting back to positives with one or two factions, then going back down to negatives. Also, try going a little further than -12 ... maybe the formula is a little buggy and instead of detecting -11, it's actually -12. Final option - try creating a new captain and see if the problem persists. I cant really screenshot the awards because its too big but it isn't there, i just checked. Also the suggestion for having to have achieved blackheart to get independent captain award only makes sense in people logic, not with programming lol. I tried going to at least -14 with all factions and still no dice. I could try going back into the positive rep side with a few factions but i really don't think that will work. |

Are you having difficulty with any other awards or is Blackheart the only one you have problems with?
A bit off topic, what font are you using? Didn't realize that ST utilized the font you'd set for your device and I like the looks of that one.

Thats the only award so far but i haven't gotten more than maybe 60% of them, the font is Rosemary

Well all i did was try with another captain, nothing special. I got the award a lot later in the game; I was unlocking other awards.

I think we may have found the answer as to what's wrong, if that is the case! I bet that the time requirement on the award for surviving past 25 years as a wanted criminal somehow ended up included in the blackheart award! That's probably the reason it's passing the inspections, since it's been given the time requirement, the award still works, but rather than receiving it when you meet the listed requirements, you get it after you meet the unlisted time requirement. Now, either the time requirement should not be there, or the developers accidentally forgot to add the time requirement in the description of the award. |

There is no time requirement on Blackheart, sorry. It really sounds like the Awards was previously granted to that Captain, which would explain everything I see in the thread.

No, I've checked my completed awards and I have met the requirements on Hard twice, and I don't have the ability to use the unlocked upgrade, either. I am positive on those counts, and no, I am not confusing the avalibility of the upgrade with the ability to use it. Sorry if that was a little sharp, but I was pretty sure that would be your next response, and I really didn't want to have to make another post to assure you that I didn't mix up the two and waste more of our time for lack of a softer way of putting it. |

So, based on what has been said, and what you say about there not being a time requirement accidentally added to the blackheart award, if you are 100% on that, then the problem must either be with the reputation requirement, or with the ability to claim the award. Maybe some aspect of the game thinks that you initially had the award when you go to the hall of records, but in such a way that the game's completes awards list doesn't register, and doing something in the game fixes it so you can claim the award. Anyways, I am going to try removing the game, then reinstalling and I'll see id that fixes it. |
