Perhaps the solution is a more complex type of output than the toast.
Let me look into improving this so that there is less mystery to the Award granting.

Hi. I have had this game for a few years. I read this thread and HAD to reply to it. I've managed to scoop a lot of the award unlocks rather quickly. But this award has managed to be elusive, even though I have met the requirements several times. Recently I started a new attempt to just get that unlock, but this time using a Independent faction Captain(pirate). I had all the houses and syndicates down to -11 to -14. Went to the nearest independent home world to record exploits, and nothing. Landed and took off several times... Recorded exploits, nothing. Killed a couple ships. Nothing.
Went to the nearest Thulun planet. By some fluke I landed on my first attempt. Recorded exploits. Bam! Got it.
The ships I blew up were independents I killed while I was trying to trigger the award. No faction point loss. I Hope this helps someone. TBH this award has been really buggy for me to get. There is something definitely going on with this award. I had the free version of this game before I upgraded. No reinstall with the upgrade if it makes a difference. Maybe the people who are having trouble getting this award have been trying to record exploits from a independent world like me? And just need to go to one of the major faction planets and record exploits?
I cant remember if this is the first time I recorded on a faction planet or not from my other play through's. I just know it worked this time.

The missing is all about the timing and how long you've been full negative. Easy to miss.

I am having the same issue on android. Reputation is well below -11 with all six factions, playing on Crazy . Have tried several (at least six) different palaces it record exploits and it won't unlock.
