Poryg is back! More powerful than ever, thanks to the strength of the almighty v6! True, this Narvidian Hive, even though it was 2.5x my level, probably had no good warrior, since the only crew I lost I lost due to the torp bombardment. I didn't lose any crew through boarding, which is kind of hilarious. But even so, the brute strength of so much warrior is just insane! I have enough pilot to fend off ramming pirates and I have enough tactics to perform surveillance and blockade. However, while I have huge casualties from gunnery and torping, apparently I cause so much morale damage that intimidate is otherwise irrelevant. 
Also, this character has Crew Xeno suits instead of Leviathan. I decided to try them to see. The crew Xeno suits are better against aliens, but overall the Leviathan is better, because crew Xeno suits don't do anything about non-alien ships, meaning it's a pain to deal with pirates and bounty hunters that want to steal my cargo. 
Hmm, looking at what youtube did with the video, I will record another one, looks like.

Xeno suits are great for soaking crew damage, however the Leviathan is great for damage output, just like more weapons. So I guess the use depends on your strength after all. 
And in the end after crushing like 10 pirates who decided to ram me and just blew their own ship up and even surviving two ramming pirates on one go, I met a pirate who was almost 2x my level, rammed me once and took out my entire undamaged ship. Well, you can never have enough pilot I guess next time I'll buy myself a naval bridge instead of bs architecture, since 240 crew is unnecessarily many, and the pilot increasing upgrade in weapons section.

1 Intimidate? Amazing!

resistor my pre-v6 builds had very little intimidate too. The thing is, intimidate isn't really an issue and this build was there to either prove it or to disprove it. And well, it proved it.
With v6 it's way difficult to find a warrior build around aliens and actually nearly impossible around non-aliens (I oneshotted most non-alien ships). You're going to face way greater casualties facing torpedoes than anything else. And the thing is, if you actually meet a warrior build, you can bet they don't have high intimidate either... Because there's simply no space for it.
So in the end intimidate is an unimportant stat for warrior builds and can be dropped off completely, at least on such low levels. Maybe as time advances and you reach lv 150 or 200 there you'd need to begin investing there, but unfortunately something always screws me over and I've never been able to exceed lv 80 and try if I need some intimidate later on But I honestly doubt it, because the damage output gained by extra warrior will be able to outweigh damage soaking from intimidate pretty well.
But one thing is for sure. Next time I'm grabbing a mechanic instead of a bodyguard. Because the solar sails are annoying.
There's only one thing left to try... Well, actually two. An alien hunting torp build that uses stealth to keep out of evil enemies and alien hunting through warrior, but with no weapons. With significantly reduced damage output due to the limits v6 brought it brought an interesting concept

A fun little fact just off topic though... After updating to android 6 the performance of the game didn't improve, but I finally began receiving solar wars without embedded trade embargoes (on my 5.1 android I always had a solar war with trade embargo) and several other small bugs were cleared off And instead of always trying to board me the aliens began using even guns a bit more.

And indeed, the v6 made the game more interesting. Even this alien hunting. The thing is, it's way harder to deal critical damage, because yizr strength is now restricted. But you also lose less crew from boarding.

I'm not sure what you mean here. Are you saying v6 reduced the benefits from carrying weapons?

resistor No. In fact, since the AI now has limited strength and warrior, weapons have in fact the exact opposite... Greater benefits than pre-v6. However, one time I dropped my weapons just for the fun of it... And met and defeated an alien 250% my level. But the thing is, if I really can defeat even higher level enemies without weapons (which is impossible in theory, you should not be able to regularly overpower captains 3x higher. However, if it works, I may be able to finally get rid of these ramming pirates. Well, not entirely. They would still attack for water-fuel.
