So I just finished the MnB story for the first time. Well done fallen and Cory Trese, it was a very good time. I did it on normal difficulty. Now I have to decided what to do next. I could keep going with my first MnB character, but he's getting to where he can defeat most anybody and it would be pointless to just keep upgrading him until he's an NBZ god. Is there anything left? More challenges for mature characters? I have to admit that I haven't tried hacking at all yet. I also haven't really worked my way up with anyone but Brave Star. Otherwise my next character will go up a difficulty level to Hard. But the question is do I do MnB again? I did the "compassionate thing" at the end so I'm curious to try the other ending. Is it worth it? Otherwise I could start a new sandbox character. I'm curious to try some of the other builds. Any advice out there?

contributor : I had to face the same dilemma at the end of MnB. As I was really frustrated by the outcome of the "compassionate thing" I started a new one and did it the other way. But as I finished it a second time, I get equally frustrated (don't misunderstand me, I loved to play it but...in the end, I wanted more of it ) so I started a sandbox character to try new ladder I overlooked the 2 times. My advice would be to play only what you want to maximize the pleasure you get from the game. Maybe a whole different character, a bare hand fighter if you already played a long range one for example. I tried an agent Ex just to give it a try a it became my favorite character.

There are 3 endings to MnB not 2.
1 is to return them. 2 is to help them escape. 3 is to put Mom on the Boat and have Daughter as a runner.
The Daughter is a really neat runner to have. Aside from the cool art, she can use any weapon but sticks.

The difficulty with playing MnB is that you do not get a guaranteed heat-tolerant taxi driver. This is very likely to change real soon. Were I you I would play a regular sandbox next, especially since the Gun Store in the Black Row seems out of guns as of this release, and that needs fixing too.

Both the gun store and the Heat-tolerant taxi bit will be fixed in the upcoming release, as soon as I can finish the testing. Changing stuff like this in the story--with people actively playing it at the same time--takes extra love and care. contributor - to answer your original question, no there is not really a challenge level above where you are at with your character. If you can waltz through megacorp combats, then you are headed toward NBZ god and there isn't really anything ready for you yet to go after. This stuff is on our list, but we continue to have priority on early experience in CK, as it needs a lot of work!

How do I get that to come up. It seemed like there were multiple times were I could have gone the other route. Do you have to waffle between the two choices to get that?

To get this to come up you need to Find Sarah's diary, hack it to read it, and then question her about it. If you do so, you will lose the option to put them both on the boat (as Eliza won't go).
Personally, I think this is nuts. I am in the business of stunning people and putting them in sacks so they can be hauled off places that they do not want to go. So I think that if I want Eliza on the boat with her Mom, she's going to wake up at sea. I'd like the ending a lot better if I had to pick between all 3.

Interesting, never saw anything about her diary. Once I started op. Eastwind Niner things moved very quickly. I completed the story without even needing to rest again. I had three taxis including a heat resistant one and two experienced runners plus Kidd Blaze and we just marched right to the docks.

fallen, thanks I think I know where to begin looking. I decided to go with a sandbox character for my next game. Trying the female III character, Ghost. Thought I would see what happens if I focus on stealth and being able to escape from things. Then I'll get a huge rifle and level her up till she can shoot the cyber-fleas off a Hell Hund. I'll wait till you tweak MnB (thinking of lowering rep with Fennian and fixing Cava) a little to start it again, but I will try and figure out the diary ending.

This is exactly what I decided to play with my sandbox character (Ghost as Agent Ex with lot of stealth and panther canon)...weird Great minds think alike apparently. And maybe some not great minds as well. So far Ghost is doing good. She did a lot of "do-gooding" and now she has three gun slinger escorts with her. It's a little ridiculous and sometimes they're more annoying than helpful and they just keep asking for better armor and guns so I haven't gotten her a Panther yet. Someday.

I also find them quite annoying. Do you now that you can dismiss them whenever you like ? Double-tap the portrait of the main character, go to team, scroll to the character sheet of the runner you want to dismiss and hit the big red button with a white " - " in it and he's gone. For my part I use a cybersword and a hacker to complete my team (the sword to fight things that comes too close to Ghost and for Body+Intimidation and the hacker for Mind+Electronics).
