If you've seen me play in previous challenges, I'm always one of the last to get my results in ... or I get one set in and decide foolishly to try for the other class You should try the Demanding version of the challenge and aim to complete in say 6000 turns

Been killed 4 times so far. It is entirely ntsheep's fault for distracting me with all that chocolate!

Have only died twice, on crazy, but the second was very, very painful. The first was due to a succession of almost exclusive trade embargoes which wouldn't stop, and a surveillance contract which went really, really pear-shaped. The second, I was cruising along, with over 100 rep in 3 factions and >500,000 credits in the bank, and well on the way with the rest, and a Krangg alien came and ate me. Grrrr, I say.

I tried twice on crazy, both times at level one a kragg alien was my first contact...clearly this challenge isnt for me.
I'd thought what I'd do, was pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes- Catcher in the Rye/G.I.T.S SAC

Darn, I'm at 2,000 turns, level 10 with $230k (Pilot = 31). I can kill anything that moves with my starter ship, but haven't had the chance to build up on cash. I'm gonna have to resort to doing oodles of contracts to see if I can build up some cash.

Yeah, this has turned into a total money-making slog for me too. I'm at 4,400 and have three of the ships, but am back to 200k. I've been finding it really hard to string together nice chains of contracts. Other games I've been able to get 5 at a time going corner to corner, but not now.

I didn't do enough contracts early enough ... and only had 2 factions at high rank. Spent a lot of time as De Valtos' lackey because they got me my first flagship, so earning money for them seemed only right. Buying the flagship at the right port is also a very important thing to do - you can save up to 50% off the list price (haha) if you buy at the right place. I am about $1m-$1.5m shy of completing the challenge, but given it is past the close of the challenge, I couldn't finish in time. Curse you Heroes of Steel - I had to try out some of the enhancements that have been added to that game, and it's sooo addictive Right now, Lurker thumps the challenge, with NTSheep also completing in good time. All the rest of us just didn't cut the mustard and will have to wait until the next challenge to see if we can overthrow Lurker's dominance Thanks so much to everyone who entered the challenge. Whether you were successful or not, I really hope you had fun and managed to find a few new things that the game has hidden away. Me, for example, discovered that the Rychart Flagship is an AWESOME killing machine. Who would have thunk that Rychart can make a better gun-bunny attack ship than Cadar?!?

slayernz, it's not that they make better armed ships, it's those hats they wear that distract you giving them a surprise attack chance.

I found this on a Rychart ship near the Captain's chair.
