IAP -- it just means "spending money with Google or Apple" and that is all it means.
Paid applications, they all goes to the same payment account, uses the same interface and works the exact same way.
You can you your purchases (of ANY type) on unlimited devices, with unlimited upgrades for as long as you have your Google account. You cannot run out, use up, lose or be asked to repurchase -- in fact, those things are all specifically impossible given your contract with Google.
IAP, Paid Applications, Amazon Applications, Apple iTunes -- they all work exactly the same way, as stated above.

so, if I understand elite, its not for me- I've purchased all the chapters and characters so far. est to continue and buy upgrades/characters as they are released.
also, elite is a separate game and my characters and games do not cross over.
do I understand correctly?

anvil - yep, you got it! Lots of people have asked to be able to buy the entire story in a single go ($3.99). But, if you've already invested in the episodes / characters, then stick with the game you've got!

I think this is great, BUT buying four independent episodes costs $3.96, where as Elite is $3.99. I realise this is only a difference of THREE cents, but surely it makes more sense to either: Make one of the extra characters free in Elite, or Drop the Elite price by $0.50 or so. I know, three cents is nothing, it's less than a penny in my country (UK), but it's the principal that paying up front for all the episodes in full should be AT LEAST equal value to purchasing them separately :-) I can't think of another game / box set where it makes more sense to buy separate! :-)

mataeus - thanks for the feedback, but we are going to leave the prices where they are. If the $0.03 is a big deterrent to folks, then I am sure we we will hear about it in email. I haven't yet.

No worries, I only wanted to point it out! I get the feeling I'm not liked much around here, I'm always giving constructive (I think!) criticism, but I'm not sure how it's taken. As long as you know you're my fave mobile dev, I have all the Elite games (minus HoS, which I've already bought separately) and I plus 1 and 5 star all your stuff, that's fine :-)
