I got Twined Gold: +112 SP, +2 parry, +2 dodge, +8 fire resistI'm going to be hanging on to this one for a while. Selen's got it right now, but Vraes is making a strong case as Berserk Rage is getting SP pricey. Vince and Kyera are also bummed that they don't get the first big SP boosting item. (Brain implodes) So... jealous... Given Vras' low total SP, an item like that is serious business. The parry/dodge bonus is nifty for a melee character too.

While there are some really awesome drops from beating Big V, I wanted to highlight the awesome loot you can get in the cult temple itself. I included a very partial list below, trying to focus on some of the more nifty items. Of course, I can't comment on any items I didn't find and I am opting not list weapons. By the end of the cult temple, a party should have some nice bonuses, even on the higher difficulties. Given the 2 or 3 areas of improvement per item, it's possible to add several dimensions to your party. Vurnak's Charm is a great example of an item that gives a solid HP boost with equally solid damage increases. Maw of the Forge negates the need to choose between extra accuracy or extra damage as it gets both. The Earthshaker Boots are a great fit for any melee character. Extra damage, extra earth resist and a move point to boot (pun intended, I guess). Combing bonus can give brutal totals to any single dimension, be it damage, hit points, SP, etc. I like giving all the high damage bonus to my archer and letting her basic attack clear enemies.
-Cloaks- Mantle of the Guard (Cloak): +10 Max HP, +3 Parry, +3 Dodge Mantle of the Smith (Cloak): +4 Armour, +20 All Elemental Resists, +4 Security Cloak of the Third Age (Cloak): +16 Earth Damage, +4 Armor Dark Bane Mantle (Cloak): +12 Holy Damage, +2 Armor, +16 Unholy Resist
-Amulets- Maw of the Forge (Amulet): +18 Fire Damage, +5 Accuracy, +22 Fire Resist Myshana's Necklace (Amulet): +80 Max SP, +2 Holy Damage Talisman of the Smith (Amulet): +3 Parry, +12 Armor Storm Window's Talisman (Amulet): +12 Lightening Damage, +3 Ranged Accuracy Iron Torgue (Amulet): +14 Damage, +4 All Resists Steelfall Chain (Amulet): +32 Max HP, +32 Max SP, +4 Armor
-Rings- Vurnak's Charm (Ring): +80 Max HP, +6 Fire Damage, +4 Holy Damage, +6 Lightening Damage. Golden Twine (Ring): +24 Max SP, +2 Dodge, + 6 All Resists Ring of Envy (Ring): +60 Max SP, +3 dodge, +3 Stealth
-Bracers- Bands of Steel (Bracers): +8 Fire Damage, +4 Parry, +1 Dodge, +4 Fire Resist Left Hand of the Smith (Bracers): +30 Max HP, +12 Damage, +3 Accuracy Ironguard Braces (Bracers): +3 Parry, +10 Armor Arm-Guards of Vurnak (Bracers): +6 Damage, +3 Accuracy, +12 Armor
-Boots- Earthshaker Boots (Boots): +1 Move Point, +16 Earth Damage, +16 Earth Resist Path of the Faithful (Boots): +24 Max HP, +65 Max SP, +4 All Resists Flame Weaver's Tread (Boots): +12 Fire Damage, +3 Ranged Accuracy Footsteps of Ash (Boots): +12 Fire Damage, +2 Ranged Accuracy, +12 Fire Resist Troll Hunter's Tread (Boots): +12 Damage, +1 Accuracy

Hi to all!
I have a question about killing Big V
I broke all eight foci, killed all enemies, opened all chests and, after this, killed Big V at least five times...
Well, i think he was supposed to be killed in one try, after breaking the 8 foci, so I ask if I need to kill him several time.
In case of negative answer, well this is a bug i think :-(
Thanks for the answers.

I know that initially I missed the two foci in the center alter area because they look the same as the spider idols around them.

matthaeus - if you have broken all 8 foci, then he is vulnerable to be killed - just once. You would be the first player to report a bug in this area, but it is possible that it has occurred somehow. Did you get a dialog each time you smashed a foci? Before we do further, costly, investigation, can you please scroll around the map and double-triple confirm that you have smashed 8 foci. You should be able to count them again through the fog of war.

matthaeus - you did get a dialog when you smashed each one? I know that can be hard to remember, but anything you can provide on the subject would be great.

I don't remember if i get the dialog for every focus, but once broken the last, Vurnak said something like "you are blasphemy" and "Ryethin is telling you lies". All the foci have the same artwork, a dark blob with a yellow and red line (I can't take the picture now) Now I can't retry to smash them again, but I'll be able to control it in max 24 hours.

matthaeus - the final one should have given you a dialog saying basically "He's vulnerable now! We can kill him" - it sounds like it did not! We can work on fixing your game.

Maybe they said that, too, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I tried to smash again all the foci, and nothing changed. We can work on fixing your game. Thanks, I'll wait for instructions of what I should do (maybe with a PM, so I don't occupy further the thread)

I finished the fight. It's pretty epic and took me forever to do.
A few thoughts issues.
1) I never got the Smith Lord's Hammer, is that something we're supposed to receive? I actually opened the chests before killing Vurnak. (Are you supposed to be able to open red chests with Precision Pick? First try turns it blue and the second one opens it?)
2) Overall the fight was pretty good. It seemed to me though like the advice to keep moving and not get pinned down (given be a character at the beginning of the fight) is actually very bad advice. I had some really big groups spawn on the islands which means that if you're trying to move fast and do some sort of rear-guard action with Vince, eventually you're going to get slammed by a big group in front of you and everyone catching up behind you. Taking the level slowly actually guarantees that you don't get swamped.
3) There was some issue with the dialogue and the foci. I seemed to get ahead and got the message that we had broken all of them and could now kill V when there was still one left.
