Found the clue on underwater traps, there's a bit more "whitewater" than on a normal tile. Think water flowing over the underwater spikes.

They were mostly in rivers edge near the beginning of E2, but I'm still working through my first full run so I'm sure there will be more to come.

There was a list somewhere with all the secret doors found. I have a party stuck in the Under Forge and I wanted to review to see if I missed any secret chests up to this point. I may need to restart with a different party / party build and I was wondering if I missed any items that might have made fighting Vulnak easier. I read the post by vdx on fighting the boss. It helped a lot.

If you start a thread with the build, I'm sure I can give some feedback on tactics that would work for it.

I've starting calling the visual cue to water traps the "white eye" because there's almost eye-like outline that's a little more white with water traps than normal water.
There are a lot harder to spot than surface traps and tend to be well placed from the monster's point of view. There's not too many of them, as of the current version, so it's not brutal if you can't spot them.

Thanks for the great thread. I'm new an still a bit confused. When I cast farsight it says that traps should be blue but I don't see the color (not red or blue either). What am I not understanding here?
Thanks!

This is the most frequently asked question. You have to watch the color of the application effect, the skill don't have any other indication. And it only really useful to detect traps.

greg g the blue doesn't reliably indicate all clear. In fact it's pretty useless in my experience. Green or red means you hit a trap or pull line right on the money. Blue means you are maybe safe The real use of farsight is to clear fog of war so when you trigger a pull you can see where the enemies spawn without using first turn ap to scout

Sorry for continuing this old thread, but I have been playing this game for years now and for some reason just realized I could have been missing secret passageways in cave walls. Up until this point I only looked for secrets when in areas with flat walls like the description above. Do you ever put them in light colored craggy always curving cave walls?

z7sakariI've never found a secret tunnel in a rough/natural cave wall, and when I didn't know what I was looking for, I searched areas pretty thoroughly using alternate techniques. I say this with high confidence on all levels up to the end of Ep 2 because I haven't played Ep 3 yet. Yes I know it's been out for ages. Yes I know it's awesome. Yes I know it's something that all HoS fans should have played by now ... but grrrr ... been playing CK on my phone almost exclusively. Evil evil game that it is.

The awesome and resident First Cat, slayernz, has been great enough to make the following images. These help explain how to spot traps & secret doors! Images are no longer working... can someone reupload them on a working image provider?

Yes, please update the images! I've actually stopped playing because I'm tired of running into traps! If my only option is to spam trap detection on every square I intend to travel it becomes way too tedious.
