I love that kind of quick updates. Indeed. And my Face will be excited to negotiate for a better price on cybernectics while her Runner is busy trying to get off the surgical bed...

Officer Genious The more I play and learn about others playing styles, the more I feel like turning a runner into a machine is a natural idea... XD Love that game. I never played as a Face but I'm starting to interest myself into non-fighting CKs ; Faces, Hackers, that kind of stuff.

You should check out that one thread, "The Runner Formerly Known as Clive Zep". If I could get Clive to live more than a month, I'd love to turn him into something like that. Playing as a non-combatant is challenging-- I've purposely set myself to have mediocre firearms skill (like 5 or 6) and used those orphan Runners I kept finding as my personal Thugs. I currently have an Agent-Ex as my ally, and hire a cybernetic Martial Artist and a Sniper as needed. Still waiting to find a hacker since I pissed off the Fennians and made KH AND BS my life-long enemies (BS killed my Clive Zep, and KH killed my awesome thug who was beastly against anything but frickin' drone swarms). If you do decide to try a non-combative lifestyle (even though my Face is still armed with a Mars special assault rifle...), I'd suggest converting a gunner and brawler as fast as you can-- you'll be keeping them around almost nonstop anyway. Excuse me, I'm too impatient to wait for the bugfix and a good ol-fashioned KH slaughter is calling my name...

XD RoboThug is the best character concept ever. I had thought about and AgentEx runner 100% turned into a cyber ninja, as I recently caught one in the street. He will forever regret the day I saved him. In my current game, the first reflex I had with my sniper character was to turn a cybersword and a martial artist into allies to get permanent close-combat bodyguards. I guess that's pretty much the same concept with a non-combative character, although the fight outcomes would only depend on THEIR skills. Which makes them quite important, in my point of view. Don't hesitate to correct me if I'm wrong. Ah, personal vendettas for runner's death... My MNB character also made a whole part of how he sees the world like this. Love when RP factors influence the way people plays, it always makes it tastier. What kind of Mars Assault Rifle ?

Bohrson - awesome idea = "Ah, personal vendettas for runner's death" ... I will look into how we could mark a Runner as "Deceased; killed by AzTek" or something so that you can always hold that grudge

To be fair, my Face isn't totally nonviolent- its more like she's armed with the SDX? Rifle and will shootdown any drones, hut the rea threat is really my Agent EX. He's pretty hard to kill! My Face's AP is low enough that she can move and fire once with that rifle er turn, but by then my Agent EX runner likely killed off two or more with his Raptor II pistol. In other words, my Face has basic training, but my Agent EX is basically a war god.

My favourite Mars assault rifle is the M21 available at Fairlight Outfitters in the West End (and some other places). Power 6 Penetration 6 Accuracy 3 Ammo 24 auto range 6 AP: 5 Speed 4. It is quite reasonably priced when compared to the various AP 4 rifles. But with accuracy only 3 you have got to train a good bit of firearms as well. This makes it possible for your Agent X to kill things
AP 5 is the key -- I too rescue agent Xs in the street, and start them out with the Ares Gamma Mk4 available at the same place. Power 6, Penetration 2, Accuracy 5, Ammo 5 pistol, range 3 AP 3, Speed 1. This one is good because it does MP damage, so for taking out gangers, it's just the ticket. But I use the M21 for drones.

I forget exactly what Assault Rifle my Face had, but it was 6 damage 6AP. I was saying my Agent Ex gets most of the kills, which I am perfectly okay with. The reason I gave my Agent Ex the Raptor II so I could have that range, and with his high DEX and ATH he can shoot pretty often. Can't tell you how many times I moved to be able to kill something only to have my Agent Ex kill them off first.

I feel so special that my little thread is so popular. I will have to buy Robothug a can of high viscosity lubricant so that he can celebrate. After they replaced his kidneys and liver with an oil pump and filter, beer just has not been the same for him. You should check out that one thread, "The Runner Formerly Known as Clive Zep". Tenebrous Pirate I love Robothug. I think you can even pimp him a little more to create a refrigerated storage room to keep beer cold while traveling, with a bit of creativity from the mechanics. Officer Genious The assault rifle looks more like a dissuasive weapon when compared to your AgentEx. XD Bodyguard runners are the best. Especially when they protect you in an offensive fashion. Love the Raptor II ; it was the weapon of choice for my first Gunslinger CK. ^^ grävling I also had a bad surprise when arriving with my shiny martial artist with stunners in front of a drone swarm. Since, I try to take them all out with my sniper CK before they come in range, but they are still my worst nightmare. =/
