LOL ... we've run a million turns in the sim to see if there really is a population skew for DV.

It's a myth perpetrated from the first release of the game that had an issue where your FIRST colony (many people made DV first) grew fastest of all.

That was fixed a few releases ago, but it takes time for perceptions to shift

Next you're going to say that the aliens really are hostile and this whole game isn't just another excuse to dominate primitive species through technological superiority while humanity continues raping and pillaging planet after planet in its never ceasing expansion.
