I have found two: face dancer and cure all. They seem to do nothing. About cure all,it sounds like some guy,who heals your whole party.. Does every contact do anything for now,or are some of them "on hold"?

On one of my first character files, I had a v-chip that just went into the contacts page as "V-Chip".
Is there a trick to getting the chips, or are they just random loot after fights?

Bugger, I thought I had gotten most of them already! lol I have been getting nothing but duplicates of the v-chips I already have, so I figured I had gotten near all of em. I'm glad to know there are more out there, I love to collect things!

@tenebrous - the next update raises the bar to 60. taatuu25 - many of the contacts do not do anything yet. there are a crowd that are data hounds and will pay good yen for paydata from their enemies, and some giving out contracts. There are taxi drivers who will help you too. The last few updates have been hammering in new, functional contacts as fast as we can (1-2 an update) and working on fixing the existing 53. Future contact capabilities include buying and selling gear, taking you to special or unique places, selling you passes to the backrooms of gun stores (as a "military fixer" contact) and other cool things that you can't come by elsewhere. Also, the ways to get a contacts V-Chip are rapidly being expanded. Right now, your best bet is to take encounters head on (Confront) and deal with the consequences if it turns violent. Also, look around The Fenns, Commonwealth and in the next update, Camden Street.

Yeah, I have found a few more of them today, mostly in the MARS or Yakashumi areas. I have never found one as loot that I am aware of. I always get them when I confront gangers harassing innocents. I look forward to the updates!
Here is my updated list from my combined characters:
Taxis Benni The Taxi: Taxi (everyone starts with Benni) McFly: Taxi/Quest (directs you to a quest that does not work yet, and doesnt function as a taxi yet)
Employers Vinny the Rat (found in The Laughing Dog, gives jobs near The Fenns)
Data Fixers(buy payfiles of specified faction) Gravedigger: Los Val Digital Wall: AzTek Gambler Prince: K. Horizon Wraith: Yakashumi Texas Powers: AzTek Ion Archie: Mars Nameless: BraveStar Emperor of Pain: Blue Ox Lucky King: BraveStar
Non-Functional Misc. Black Day Stalker Nelson Garden Wizard Coleman Gibson Gadget Hunter Whip Powell The Alchemist Johnny Vaughn
Doctors(Don't work yet) Surgeon Meyer Doc Liz Doc Crawford

Completely off-topic here, but what difficulty have you been playing? I've only been on normal, but thought about stepping it up.

Here's mine so far: Data Fixers:Lucky King - BraveStar Riddle Five - AzTek Arizon Hicks - Yakashumi Taxis:The King I've got a few ideas in regards to your V-Chip contacts. Not to sure how you all feel about them, but I'll fire away When you contact your newly acquired V-Chip contact they should show under the telephone number what they do. For example: Riddle Five Contact #: 42-00-235 Data Fixer - AzTech Or change the Contact part to Data Fixer as we all ready know that they are a contact. The reason for the above is just that having to remember who does what can be a pain without either an amazing memory, or a note pad. Another potential is to group your contacts. So say have all your Taxi drivers at the top, rather than currently. Where they are in the order in which you receive them. The possibility of having a note book. I keep a note pad at hand for a number of things. But an in game one would be nice, for when I'm on public transport to work I've got a few more suggestions, but I'll post those to the relevant forum sections / posts.

moody - definitely group and providing more information for the contacts would help. especially as the list grows, having them in "order of found" will get annoying. Providing text about what they do will definitely help, and I will make sure it gets in a release or two down the road. I have been kicking around the idea of grouped contacts + speed dial, in which you can choose your What do you think about having a "speed dial" set, so that you could choose your 9 most favorite contacts and put them on an easy-to-reach speed dialer.

Speed dialling could work really well. Would be cool to have backup on a speed dial as well. Someone who might take a percentage of your cut for a contract.
