What Games Are You Playing?

So, given that this is the "General Board" where people can speak about anything, I thought ... Why not ask what games people are/have been playing?

This thread has a couple of purposes:

1. Pretty sure that Cory and Andrew will peek at it once in a while. Thus, it will help the Brothers peek at what type of games potential clients are playing.

2. Help share the 'gaming' love with a pretty good community. In my time on this board (a couple of years and counting) I've met a lot of pretty cool people. This is, by far, one of the most relaxing boards to chat on.

Games I've played but probably not going to play again.
Banished (Its a 'settle and survive' game designed for the player to ultimately fail. Not bad for what it is, but a little boring)
Bioshock: Infinite (Complete. Hard mode. Probably my favorite 1st person shooter. Moving on)
Borderlands 1 (Completed. Its an ok game. Funny )
Borderlands 2 (Completed. Good game. Too many other games and things to do)
Car Mechanic Simulator 2014 (Complete. Fun little time waster)
Darksiders I (Complete. Apocalyptic mode. VERY BUGGY GAME. STEAM VERSION CRASHES A LOT, RANDOMLY. NO KNOWN FIX)
Darksiders II (INCOMPLETE. I started playing, but noticed the cinematic scenes looked awful. Kind of lost interest.)
Deus Ex Game of the Year Edition (Graphics are from 10 years ago, or so. That's ok. What I disliked are the controls. They feel clunky)
Elder Scrolls Online (Because I think it's crap and even have an entire thread dedicated to why I think its crap. Gods what a waste!)
Fallout 1, 2, 3, New Vegas (All completed. Good games. Simply played them too much)
Farcry 1 (Hard Mode complete. Good game(I SHOULD have done it in realistic mode. Have to use EXACT same tactics to survive as Hard Mode. Go figure))
Final Fantasy FFXIV: A Realm Reborn (Great game. Good people. 2.5 expansion introduced a crash bug that I can't seem to get rid off! *cry* bye bye game)
F.E.A.R. (Hard Mode. Complete. Great combat A.I. Monotonous levels. Good story)
F.E.A.R.: Extraction Point (Complete Extreme difficulty. Same as F.E.A.R.)
F.E.A.R.: Perseus Mandate (Complete Extreme difficulty. A little better than the others, IMO.)
F.E.A.R. 2 (Complete. Hard mode. I found it easier than FEAR & expansions. The Combat A.I. is not as good. Only 2 fights were difficult.)
F.E.A.R. 3. (INCOMPLETE. Simply bored with FEAR for now)
Goat Simulator (Its freaking hilarious) but I'm done with it. :-)
Guild Wars 2 (Good game. Moved on)
Half-Life 2 (Paused! Can't load saved games bug.... kaput!)
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Complete, Hard mode.(Beautiful, great gameplay, but repetitive mobs, music and quest types:Kill, Fetch, Deliver or combination of the three Waaaaay too easy)
Left 4 Dead (I thought it was a single player story driven game. It's not. Its a multiplayer -survive a stage- type of game)
Lifeless Planet (Complete. Jumping Puzzle game. Meh game. Wait for it to be $5 bucks. Easy game too. Entertaining mystery.)
MINECRAFT PC (I even have an entire multi-level plot on Woodycraft Server. Haven't played it in months. Not into it any more. The lack of chat tools suck)
Metro: 2033 (Complete Hardcore. Good game)
Metro: Last Light (Complete Ranger Hardcore. Good Game)
Payday (Not my thing. I don't like 4 man coop games. I feel like I'm not in control of my own single player game)
Portal Complete (Very .... very quick game. I didn't know I was at the end. Thought it was the 1rst part)
Portal 2 Complete (A lot more satisfying than the first game. Pretty funny. )
Shadowrun Returns (Complete. GREAT Indie game. It STRONGLY reminds me of a cross between Cyberknights and Heroes of Steel)
Shadowrun:Chronicles (Done all the available missions. Not a bad game. Not great either. Game suffers from lack of content, repetitiveness, a slew of crash bugs, and small community)
Skyrim (With Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn DLCs) Completed on highest possible difficulty, with ridiculous mods to make the fights even more difficult. LOADS of fun. Great game.
Star Wars: The Old Republic
Tropico series (Never caught on for me)
Wildstar (Not a bad game. Simply didn't interest me that much.)
The Witcher I (Hard Mode, Completed it. Good game.)
Witcher 2 (Complete. Both possible paths. Dark mode. Great story. Detailed CGI and voice acting. So-So gameplay)

Star Traders 4X and Stalker: Call of Pripyat are secondary games.

Halo 4 and Halo Reach all when I'm bored now.

I still like to point out I have every Elite Game... just not installed... I should download Templar Assault but I really bought it to support TB. Nothing more.

Borderlands 2 got a dust off a couple of days ago and I'm playing it with my stepson allot lately. 

Heroes of Steel is my JAM lately (i.e since it came out) I keep making groups and end up thinking of a better one so I just play group after group. I've settled comfortably into my Iron Curtain build so now I have a cohesive unit for a change

I used to play CoD all day every day, but then my 1.33 K/D ratio went down to a .66 when Ghosts came out so i gave it up for good. I shout at my tv much less now.

Pokemón has always had a special place in my heart and I've played most of them since it started, but then grew up (slightly)... still awesome RPGs though.

Can you believe I've only played Halo 1? Haven't touched a single other Halo game since I sold my very first X-box 3 weeks after I bought it in the first place.

Not a huge console gamer by any stretch. I'm super PC oriented.

I get Neverwinter Nights out occasionally and give it a replay.
These days though, I find myself jumping around between games, on PC, and can't stay gaming for more than a couple of hours.
I spend more time, phone gaming, because I'm getting older, (read lazy. ), and like lolling around playing Trese games, and Machine Knight.

Oh, maybe you can help me understand the franchise a little.

I played Baldur's Gate, BGate II, and I -think- Icewind Dale somewhere in all that. I know there is a game where you are able to gain a Dark Elf Priestess as your companion. So I had my Paladin, of all things, be her lover.

I always thought it would have made a great story to have a Paladin be thoroughly smitten with a blatantly evil Dark Elfess, and her back at him. Opposites attract indeed.
Then the story continues until you become a GOD. I found her to be the most interesting crazy psychotic female character ever. Interesting Bed Talk and super freaky lines like "Grasp your destiny, my lover. For only a GOD can make my heart beat thus." You can tell she's in a power trip. Priestess of Shar to boot.

So, what games come after that story? If you know. Neverwinter Nights?

Hi Rabidbite.

I don't recognise that character storyline, at all.

It's possibly part of one of the Neverwinter Nights TWO, addon packs.
I didn't finish the whole of NWN 2, because of the awful game breaking bugs, (especially those caused by the patches). I played and modded a lot on NWN 1. Bought all the expansions, (loved Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark). Still have NWN 2, Mask of The Betrayer, addon, but not the Base Game. The addon was terrible, balance wise .

Got icewind dale, but for some reason it doesn't like loading anymore.

The Baldurs Gate character voices, used to crack me up, when youbtold them to move to a map hex.

Can you remember what NWN Set, you Paladin, Dark Elf Priestess, was in?

Hey CG, though I asked the question here, I did research and .. yes.. the character (Viconia) is part of Baldur's Gate II. Her big background is that she forsook Lolth (CHAOTIC evil) because she refused to murder a baby. SO, she decided to worship Shar (NEUTRAL evil). I loved that nasty *itch. I actually had the problem of her and Ajantis (paladin companion) randomly breaking away from the group to kill each other. So, I had to keep a lot of saved games to stop that from happening!

You're camping and suddenly 2 of the faces on your companion list disappear. What .. the heck? SMACK, Ca-crack!!! Ok Ajantis and Viconia are at it again, damn children.


I can just picture one of those conversations:

Ajantis glares: Why? WHY do you keep company with a agent of EVIL? She is everything you hate. How are you able to worship your god, follow the path of righteousness and keep THAT thing at your side!?

I smile: Ajantis. While Viconia is in our party, she cannot and will not commit a crime. I keep her from doing harm. I can find no greater calling of the faith. Last, there are some very carnal and perverse delights that I choose not to involve our god in. Trust me when I say, a Drow priestess sure as hell knows what she's doing. It's a ...religious... experience all on its own.

Ajantis: Are you MAD man!?

I cast a healing spell: Our god still seems to think I'm doing good. So why don't you let him and me deal with issues of my faith?

Ajantis watches as I pick up some chains, rope, whips, candles, other assorted odd things.: By Helm, what's this?

I laugh: Ajantis, please don't ask questions you do not want the answer to.

It seems Neverwinter has -nothing- to do with Baldur's Gate franchise besides it being in Forgotten Realms. No wonder I didn't play it.

Buuuuut, I probably WILL play it .

Ah. That explains why I didn't recognise it.
There is a section in NWN 1, Hordes of the Underdark, that lets you team up with a female Drow assassin/Thief, and a Tiefling warrior, (who your character can get "romantically" involved with.
I think you can be "involved", with either of these characters, depending on your PC's gender.

NWN is by the creators of Baldur's Gate.
It's developed, using Bioware.
It's also a 3D environment. I still love NWN 1, even though it's dated now.

Pokemon? Really? I've never taken a peek at them at all because of the perceived childishness of it. Am I being too much of a snob? What about those games is good? If you don't mind elaborating.

So, if I want to play Neverwinter, I should start with NW1 then move to Hordes of the Underdark?
