Jacob - we are very much looking forward to going back through the cycle of our existing worlds and bringing them forward into a new generation. I don't have any specifics about the ordering / when etc, but its one of things we are very excited about.

I'm very interested in the crew becoming more individual, rather than just numbers. I hope there will be more of a need to take care of crew, rather than them being just commodities. Also, an update to ship upgrades will be great. Med bays, for healing crew etc. Maybe a visual layout of your ship, with the various upgrade regions, but med bays etc. Drool!

Cg - every character you meet will be an individual, including every member of your crew. I cannot wait to share the full pitch. I always figured that a ship class would be measured by tons to the hundreds (or thousands of) tons, with a certain number of crew required per weight class as a base with modifiers coming from ship upgrades, what role your ship is outfitted for, etc. But instead of just a Captain and crew with officers essentially reduced to just another modifier, I always thought it would be better (and more realistic) for RPG purposes to have an officer assigned for each department, under which is an allocated number of crew. Depending on the size and role you wouldn't need nor necessarily have all of these. The Rychart cowboy chica probably runs the show herself or with a couple of crew given the size of her ship. Engineering ---Maintenance ---Cargo/Loadmaster ---vehicle --- Support (galley, laundry, logistics, ect may or may not be automated) Science ---Navigation/Astrogation ---Communication ---Specialist (xenobiology, archeology, ect) Medical ---GP/Surgeon ---nurse/staff ---Corpsman Security ---Armor ---marine/ Templar detachment ---weapon crew Bridge ---XO/Operations ---Pilot ---Gunnery ---Comm ---Intelligence

dayan / CdrPlatypus - to both points - it would depend a huge amount about the size of your ship, as to how your crew is organized, officer counts, etc. More details to come as the KS approaches! I think this is an area where ST 2 will really shine.
