squee. Once the explorer ship is refueled, it will be cautiously exploring the remainder of our sector. Perhaps the councils would entertain a vote as to the direction of the subsequent exploration. My vote is for exploring the areas directly north and west of us, to ensure complete cartography of our locale. After this, I would agree that our explorer should head cautiously due east, marking planets and anomalies as it travels. Once it has traveled as far as its fuel tanks can bring it, then it should sweep back slightly southward, furthering our knowledge of the area. Reconnaissance is vital, no doubt, but is it worth risking our seclusion to do it?

Haha, this is great. Love the back and forth, just love it! Anyways, a quick question. Steel Song ( squee/ Officer Genious/ ncaoa), am I reading your request right. Do you want me to cancel the mine and subsidize a factory, or do you want me to finish the mine and then subsidize a factory? Either way, looks like our vote is wrapped up. Looks like the next order of business will be... research starship construction 1 recall the fleet build up the economies of the hive worlds as requested. Miss anything? IF not, expect me to write up a report in an hour or so. Again, thanks to everyone taking part. This is a lot of fun! We compromised to subsidize and put the Factories first as soon as they become available, and then finish the mines if there is no other pressing matter. Generally, we'll take Hab>Factories>Spice>Mines.  And can I just say I LOVE THIS THREAD??? slayernz, I'm baffled by your cordialness and thank you for saying we're saner than North Korea. We'll be sure to use that as a motto one day: "Steel Song-- the cat says we're saner than North Korea!". |

Ok. I want in on the next game! The great thing about this game is that all you need to do is pick a faction to associate with and remember to confer/vote in the interests of that faction while thinking of the greater whole as well. For example, slayernz is a Javat cat and while he's infamous for hating Steel Song people, he actually does make a few deals with us Steel Songers so we support each other's measures. The same can be said of Thulun and Steel Song. Its basically how politics SHOULD work. Of course, I suggest joining up with Steel Song-- we have a reputation for being bloodthirsty yes, but who better to defend and protect our slice of the cosmos than experienced military persons and the best assassins born yet? |

Be careful who you torp, Officer Genious, this could be considered an act of war. I'm well aware that the Song rarely thinks things through, but this seems especially foolish. Unless there's coffee in that torp, with some sugar and half and half. In this case I'll take two- coffee is great for productivity. |
