lixxx235 under normal circumstances I think this could be viable. However under the current political issues we seem to be having, I think this would be immediately shot down by the Alliance. At this point we must first map out the quadrant, then spend months debating over every single planet and the motives behind us wanting anything that doesn't suit the individual houses. Or house, I should say, as Javat has been thankfully willing to come to meaningful resolutions, working with us for the betterment of the Alliance. Steel Song we will have to see.

Ugh want to bang my head against a rock...would be softer than Javat heads I believe we had already discussed building Hab, Factory, Mine for both our proposed colonies correct? Also we had never discussed the colonization of further worlds at this time had we? If my above questions are both answered in the affirmative will one or more of you my esteemed Lords and Ladies please confirm such to both the Javati councilors and the general assembly of the Alliance. At this point, xdesperado I'm pretty much done explaining our intentions to the Clans. No wonder they are considered the Lesser Houses. At this point I'm all for colonizing Tennath, then just letting it be. It is insane the resistance we have received on just this simple request. Were this a game on impossible, I would agree with them. But this is a game on normal, and our economy will be stronger than they expect. At this point, it would be optimal for us to have Leiwen, but the consensus may not be on our side. If this is the case, our diplomacy will be severely curtailed when it comes to supporting ANY resolutions that maybe brought up by these Clans. I've had enough.

I propose we lobby for Faction Politics 2 so we can begin construction of exchanges, followed by Planetary Construction 3 for the palaces. Both will help bolster the economy which seems to be of great concern to the other Houses, will stimulate research, provide defense and help with housing concerns.
Suggest that after our current Colony ship completes construction, barring an immediate need for housing that Thulun Prime build a Spice Den then focus on research until we can build an exchange and then Palace.
For Tennath propose a Mine, then if population warrants another Hab and Factory to be followed by a Spice Den.
If we can garner the needed support in the general assembly our second Colony ship should move to Colonize Leiwen as soon as possible and that world follow the same buildup as Tennath.
Lastly what do you all think of appointing Planetary Governors for our new Colonies...each Governor would be responsible for that planets building with reduced oversight from the Greater Thulun Council of Lords (sorry but gender neutral/politically correct irritates me)

<shouting from the cheap seats> ... xdesperado, if you note in ST, all the planetary governors are called "Prince" irrespective of gender. It is a title bought forth from some ancient time on Planet Dirt, the origin of the Human (and Steel Song) species.

High Command wishes Tennath to have a proper name. Obviously, if we go with the Marquis's idea, that would be up the the Prince. So, who gets Tennath?

En1gma I believe he was the first of us to take up duties as a representative for House Thulun before the Alliance assembly and Templar High Command. He's also served as a voice of reason that has reached out to the leaders of other Houses and help broker agreements for the betterment of our cause. He's my nomination for the office of Prince on our new Colony. Humbly submitted Marquis XDesperado Minister of War and Sentinal of Truth

Respectfully, I disagree with putting any person as prince; I hope that soon we'll have more than them planets. Then where do you get all your princes?

Then we double up. Yes, our Have-we of Titles would be a worthy Prince, Marquis. He has my vote.

Esteemed colleagues, we have had sufficient time to contemplate the state of the Alliance as it stands, and our revelry with the Steel Song has been most excellent. Now, with rested minds we must turn ourselves back to the direction of the quadrant.
The first and most major issue I see is that we will soon have a second colony ship, much to the chagrin of the other factions, to be sure. This will be a source of much contention with those outspoken members of both lesser clans, and will be a drag on our income until a system is found for it to make residence upon. We must tread politely within the chamber, and pray to Shalun that our scouts find new planets close to home. theother portion is to cancel the ship's construction, wasting the CP spent on it. I move that we test the political climes concerning this issue. I don't believe we had full agreement in even building this colony ship, so this was an unforeseen circumstance.
Consider this, I shall return to the chambers of Thulun Prime anon, as I have pressing issues to attend to.

The questions posed by Templar Command, and my suggested replies, are as follows: 1) Build orders, as usual. What should I be producing for each of the colonies? On Thulun Prime, after the colony ship finishes, do mine - hab - spice - mine? 2) Research, I finish politics this round so should I continue? What about after that? FacPol 2, probably. I'll defer to anyone else though. 3) Colonies, I'd like a little consensus on what planet should go to whom. Preferably I'd like each planet to be claimed but some can go unclaimed. Thulun would like to have Leiwin. Past that, we don't really have influence in. 4) Tennath (Thulun) and Salveria (Steel Song) need proper names, so each house should give me one! Defer to anyone else. 5) Scouting? Should I be doing it? If so, where? I say scout *left* if you haven't fully explored that area. 6) Diplomacy, should I be trying to get any treaties up? Defer.
