Cg costume depends on the anime. The Sailor Guardians (scouts) are fully clothed after the transformation then there is the other extreme of wearing almost nothing like in Kill la Kill. Although Kill la Kill is a show that makes fun of everything including itself a kind of super parody. The "bad" lip syncing is on older dubs usually because Japanese and English are very different languages. As CGI has gotten better and cheaper some AAA animes have just the lips changed for the dubbing process. If you watch a lot of none English movies, animation or live action, you will notice this "poor" lip synch in anything Asian dubbed into English. On the other hand If you watch a German movie dubbed in English they will match up well because the Languages have similar grammatical structures. Re Predictable stories: Lol all mediums of storytelling have this. Just like live action movies, books, comics, etc... of any language there is a lot of chaff to sort through to find the real gems. If you are seriously interested in story structure the book "Hero with a Thousand Faces" is a grat book about a near universal pattern in human storytelling called the Hero's journey. It is found across cultures as a skeleton of most stories. Animes with adult looking characters that I can recommend of the top of my head: Planetes, Knights of Sidonia, Nana, Witch Hunter Robin, Cowboy Bebop, Space Brothers, Black lagoon (no relation to the classic horror movie)

I love the fact that some transformations destroy the outer cloths but not the underwear. Just what material are those things made of! I would love to have a pair of boxers that are indestructible.

she's running good but not great, still some work to do. Had a few good short rides this season.
