Just started a new party and found some new crafts...
Broad dagger has a great craft for Selen. 13-28 dam, 1 move, 8 ice, 2 crit, 4 dodge, 4 stealth.
Also like this stealth brigadine... 4 dodge, 8 res.

I'm noticing the same thing for Android. Staff and armor crit damage do not show up in lightning spear display, but do for storm strike.

Sorry, I was a little scattered and wrote it in several sittings.
1 kill Weaver, rhs 2 explore rest of rhs. There is a message to return to the stairs once it is all explored. (I didn't see that message in previous run throughs) 3 come back to central room. Second Weaver fight is now triggered. (It shouldn't be) 4 go up stairs to darkmoss. 5 go down left hand pit to lhs. 6 no Weaver.

No, not at once. The heroes visited the Weaver on the right hand side. Killed her, didn't take the stairs up immediately but went to clear the area. At the very bottom, I tapped on one of the was and a message came up to go back to the central area, or something like that. When I did, e second battle came up. Weaver came out, we kicked butt, she scurried away to lick her wounds. Only there were no spiders or sacs, since we had already destroyed them on this side.
When we came up the stairs and went to the left hand side, there was no Weaver or spider sacs.
Android current HOS version 4.5.11, Samsung tab A.

Pretty common here, too. Nice buff extension.

It's a very different feel. More long term and story-oriented. TBF is easier to jump in and out, HoS asks for a bit more concentration.
I totally recommend it!

I don't think Dodge is worthless. My evasion scouts are at least 50% at dodging spitters, and they don't have much auto block. If the captains a shooter, he's got pretty good ranged defense as well.
WW is a favorite...

I don't even consider plasma weapons until I can respec into Shredding Fire 8. At that point, the plasma soldier can lay waste on any difficulty. Especially with the recent artifact that increases plasma damage.
Points to consider... First, those are low accuracy weapons and talents, so you need to build for accuracy. Second, low range means that movement is extra useful. And Overwatch is still king, both increases effective range and helps to stack up the baddies for next round.
Lockdown is a synergistic talent. High level Rallying Charge will come from the main soldier.
I also have a lot of fun with a grapple soldier in the midgame, but he usually runs out of steam and gets turned into the plasmateer.

Great info. Thanks for the insights, graveling. Playing right now with a dual-DefensorMT gunslinger, and am taking a moment to mourn my trusty hund.
Am also figuring out how skills transfer between runners and the lead character while doing things like hacking, negotiating, planting electronics, etc. I certainly liked having the hund around for intimidation...

Just started this game waiting for HoS to update. Anyways, there are several cyber implants which give +Body. Does that do anything useful? I don't find any direct use for the Body attribute in the rules, and I don't think it makes it easier to update your Dex and strength.
Anyone?

Hmm, a nice way to drop heat is also to stop moving. An "ice pack" with a benefit of Move -5 would be useful for heat reduction with enough negatives that one wouldn't use it lightly...
