Going to try Demise of Nations this weekend. Kinda like Civilizations, but on an iPad. Of course, putting in serious effort on ST2 Alpha as well :-) Oh, also my new desktop and iPad arrived today, so pretty much a shot weekend for anything non-computer related

possible balance idea: spicing beyond limit causes penalties (temporary lowering of traits/skills); kinda like a hangover (-1 every trait/skill for a period of time) or what not.
just another late night thought...

Probably Alpha UI, but when coming across a contact who sells Rare Goods, the description of 'not enough reputation to purchase XYZ Oil' from contact would/could use more info. How much more reputation? And what the heck is XYZ Oil? How rare IS it? Or better, a Ladder for more and more Rare Items? I'll bet myself a dollar that you've already thought of that [ EDIT: Late game (potential story arc), I would love to have an opportunity to be forced to make a decision where I come across a contact that has some rare goods or rare ship, rare weapon, rare talent... that it would make me question whether I want to obtain this new power (ex. super weapon) that would come at great rep/talent/?? loss (or some other crazy penalty like morale loss over time). I'd take mission after mission to reach a high level of effective rep to obtain this, then you would be either the hero bad guys want to kill, or the evil force that everyone wants to kill. ] Just a late night thought...

MintDragon - thanks for reporting this. It is exactly what you thought -- the Atlas had some lingering rules in it about fogging and display of planets, but since fog is disabled planets never cleared from the (non-existent) fog. Anyway, fixed for next! Awesome. Dang, you are faaaassst!

Edit to above. Looking at the map, it seems that the planet to the right of the Javat planet isn't listed either? (Thulun Mining Zone with Wilderness Zone planet).
I'll try and get back to that sector tonight to figure out more specifics/details...

Upgraded to 1.3.17 (without deleting 1.3.14) Started new game as Javat Traveled to sector for mission Landed on planet for mission completion Saw a nearby Javat planet to refuel (treeth gate) Refueled and jumped back out to space checked Atlas and the planet I was on was not listed! (the planet isn't listed at 0AU distance) Traveled to another planet in the same system, and it's still not listed when checking the atlas. Haven't gone back to see if it self corrects. Wonder if the system thought it was still in fog of war or maybe it isn't worthy of even being listed. Have only visited 20 or so planets so far, have been checking to see if there is anything repeatable, but it seems (so far) that this was the only sector/planet. pics below:

Working on getting rumors to work the same way Grind grind grind every day. How are the new tables for you? Are you using the Pin? The pinning concept is a great idea, being able to see the main screen at same time vs. more detailed info. Use it alot with the atlas especially. Very cool how the selected planet moves into view 👍

In the Contacts screen, when selecting one of the contacts, there is a great amount of info already, but it WOULD be helpful to know 'how many jumps' from current distance the contact is... The sorting by distance is available (which is also great), but please consider adding the jump-count to the description? Pic with example below:

ADDITIONAL INFO: With some contacts, the number reflects Effective Rep, and changes as it changes when doing an action to impact effective rep (selling intel records, recruiting specialists, etc); others are different than effective rep, and don't 'self correct' with additional actions to change rep/effective rep. Haven't found a pattern... but have a hunch that it may be with missions (a talent or trait that impacts amount of rep? or perhaps an overdue mission that is tallying the rep impact differently in 2 different places?).
Will keep playing this particular game to try and figure things out.
