Yah, have been noticing some 'oddities' (like going to the doctor has an icon of handcuffs), but understand the need to at least get some kind of ST2 artwork vs generic/other-game temporary icons. Will be a great 'punch list' of things to improve later on. :-)

It's really awesome, adds a lot to the gameplay having the quadrants in the mission description. Even more so after playing past a thousand turns or so on a given map, one gets familiar with the nearby quadrant names.... đđ

Is Biowaste a raw resource? And did my captain and one of my officers really gain morale from Latrine duty? Ah, my humor comment in a thread elsewhere has already been noticed prior... oh well đ

I'm equally concerned that Ksenia Fehr got a moral boost from finding 21 units of đ©

bobc that is very interesting. Time critical vs less time critical. Agree with Cory Trese, it really is a balancing thing. Amount of penalty, etc... But is would be a great to know that a certain mission is your 'priority', and needs to be accomplished (or else). Right now there isn't a compelling reason to not pick up more missions, even if they can't be accomplished on time. And, the only time I've received a long deadline was when the target planet was quarantined. Seems like a giveaway. Might be nice to have more variety in deadlines, perhaps a low-risk, low-payoff mission. But you can do it anytime over the next 2 years.

I'm sure this is just Alpha UI related but...
When recruiting new crew, there currently isn't any indication that I added a person to the crew (except for the crew status [ex. 26/30] and potentially associated skills being updated). Often I'm unsure of whether I actually added a crew, especially on mobile, double especially when adding a fighter. It's less of an issue on desktop, as I hear my mouse click, but it would be nice to enhance it with something like:
1. audible click 2. visual downstate color change on the recruit 'button' or area [Recruit Mechanic] 3. a temporary popup saying 'Mechanic added to crew'
or something like that. I find on mobile that I really have to pay attention to the crew count, as 'mis-hits' throughout the game are common, but in other situations, I have some other indicator that I missed the button (like the screen didn't close... I missed hitting the X).
Like I said, I'm sure it's just Alpha UI, but wanted to get this thought out there. :-)

No need for a new thread, but could you pls consider putting the ATLAS button on the SHIP STATUS page also? This would allow access while on planet. I'm finding a need when deciding whether to purchase cargo (is there a farming colony in this galaxy that I could sell this cheap fertilizer?).

I'd been playing with a map on my iPad which is pretty awesome so far. Centrally located home planet within a 40 galaxy packed density map. 1. Connected iPad to iTunes and synced 2. copied files from DEVICE/Applications/Startraders2 (within iTunes) to desktop. 3. renamed map1.db to map2.db 4. created new desktop Mac game #2 (which created a map2.db file) 5. replaced the desktop Mac map2.db file with the iPad map2.db 6. started a new game on desktop using the new map2.db VIOLA! Got my iPad map on my desktop.

I rarely play Pirate... It's kind of annoying, honestly, how the ONLY template value that starts checked-off, is Experience, for Pirate. Now, understandable, everything else you do have to choose one, or more values. But with the 'Experience', why does it default? Perhaps like with ST1, where you could have the default captain name... You could have a default Captain Job? Or, just leave it needing to be chosen. Especially those times when I've been just playing the daylights out of a captain, and then update.. I forget to change, and end up with a profession I don't really want, making me go through all the steps another time. Alex, just fyi, you can copy the template and change the profession, then save it as the one you had intended (when you started a game and realized you are a pirate). It's pretty cool to have this flexibility to templates. EDIT: I was expecting STAR TRADER to eventually become the default, but we don't have all of the shipbuilding thingies in place yet.

Yep, will instantly adjust my character priority. Have been playing it on lowest level (without bonus), just so I could make the Captain the way I wanted.... big thumbs up
