Hrdina - Yesterday at 11:26 PM Forgive me if this was suggested before (or is already implemented and I've missed it). I find it really useful that the Star Atlas screen lists which cargo types are bought and sold in each Zone where I've previously landed. It might also be useful if it somehow indicated which of those cargo types I currently have in my hold, maybe by shading the border of the cargo icon, or even by showing a number on the icon to indicate how much I have.

I'm heading into endgame as an explorer (just bought a 1.1mil hull) but running around collecting goods from caches is getting time consuming vs potential return. Think I'll try a spying-focused game today.

From Discord: Celt - Today at 4:36 PM I'm trying to play the game after a while away but now when I start it up the cursor doesn't appear on screen i've tried (to reboot), no success, reinstalled, no success I'm on Windows 10, 2k Resolution
The cursor appears when I go back down to 1920x1018 but there's this weird 5 second delay whenever I click something
and it feels the UI scaling is off

Bariel - Today at 12:01 PM Craig Rittenhouse and @leborc the first pic shows that the zone is in civil unrest - that rumour reduces trade law by 5 I believe, so I don't think this is a bug as such, maybe it should display the post rumour trade law on the landing screen? From discord ( ryndaris): ryndaris - Today at 1:50 AM is there any way to further increase the game's UI scaling? I'm playing with 100% at 1080p but I find myself squinting a lot... I have a lot of trouble seeing some of the UI elements normally ryndaris - Today at 3:15 AM Ah sorry, should have been more specific... playing on Windows through Steam. The 100% is referring to the in-game setting in the options menu called "Game Scaling" - essentially if this setting went beyond 100% that would be perfect for me, since everything in the game would just scale up to be bigger than now Basically the icons on the main "map" representing systems could be a lot bigger... as they are now the little service icons around them, the faction flags, etc. are all just a little too small for me to view comfortably. It's possible, since I'm playing the game after all, I was just asking since the setting is already in the game if there was some way to scale it beyond 100% MintDragon - Today at 3:28 AM ryndaris the game scaling is just the overall scaling. best for the devs to consider in the morning. I know they are dealing with scaling of text/banners/etc once they start the mobile port, I think that you input will be valuable to them but currently the scaling is not with icons/flags sizing vs. rest of world

warhammer - thanks for the feedback! Taking your captain into crew combat is a pretty dangerous endeavor. I can understand the expectation that you might want to do that, but building the default template for crew combat means that the default template is lacking if you don't. That's why they are default templates, made to be edited Maybe we can find a way to indicate that somewhere. Thanks for the suggestions on the Talents. We'll definitely keep improving here and adding more. BH is a great Job, buts its best for the officer and captain because it packs the most punch when paired with other Jobs. What type of documentation are you finding lacking? I hope you will chose to leave a review! Understood. I always looked at ST (always a danger taking expectations from one game to another) as having Espionage, Trading, Pirate, Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, and Military Officer as the primary roles. If I was a BH, I might also do some espionage roles, or MO jobs to help pay bills. If you were a Smuggler, you would do some exploring to get the cargo you wanted to smuggle. These choices would dictate your ships as a trader would take a ship with a larger hold than a smuggler would, as he would want something fast that could run a blockade or avoid searches. Pirates would differ from Smugglers and Traders with regard to how they were getting their cargo. Once acquired, they would act more like Smugglers to get into somewhere to trade the cargo. A MO would differ from a bounty hunter as you would focus on one faction to do jobs for, rather than looking for the best paying job, etc. Moving to STF, I want to play the same way, however, it is a different game. But the mindset that BH as a job is a secondary job, not a primary job is a bit of a mind bender to a new player. You really want to take Commander or something else as your primary job, even though your play style is going to be a BH. Its fine if that is a more advanced role, you do not want to spoon feed everything to the players, but I can see new players having the same disconnect. Maybe having a blurb about how BH is a job that synergizes with other jobs together to create a prestige class that is the BH. With regards to templates, agreed, they can be edited. However, many new players wanting to jump in are going to use a template as is for their first few games. I bounced this off my 13 year old, asked him how he would play given the starting screen with your captain, and he said he would just use a template off the bat. In any case, I will write a review at some point, I have a new captain to create! EDIT: Almost for got, for the longest time I could not figure out the red/blue bar under the ships on the combat screen meant. The red bar I figured was a measure of current hull, the blue bar is active crew? I could not find anything on that. I did not see much about dice and how combat worked until I went to the wiki and spent half and hour looking through it. Definitely check the wiki for ship combat, and link at the bottom of that page for ship combat strategies. They’ll explain all the UI and will give you ideas to use 😊

So the TB's are on a mission to fix broken missions. If the missions weren't broken, they wouldn't be on a mission. Hmmmmmmmmmmm? I sense a paradox and the fact that the TB's need a break Maybe they are just sheep-ish...

thx for the explanation fallenmaybe could make that more visible in the mission accept screen (this will cancel any existing mission with xxx contact) or the scrolling event log? just a few thoughts :-)
