Nice! I love the door idea, and I had not even thought of using it to protect a turret! Thank you!

Been playing this great game again recently and agree with everything in this thread. I have experimented extensively, playing with only one xeno opponent on big maps and allowing them to expand until they hold the vast majority of systems (like 4 or more times the number of colonies I hold). That did not make any noticeable difference. In fact, i get the feeling that the xenos play more aggressively when they have other strains to 'compete' with.
I know that ai changes specifically aimed at making the xenos more aggressive have been implemented, but I really haven't noticed a big change. I wish there was a way, even if it involved allowing the xenos to "cheat" by reducing ship costs, build times, etc., to really push their threat potential in the late game. I love researching all the cool tech and designing the perfect ships, but all that effort feels wasted when the hardest it gets is 2 or 3 small waves of attackers each active xeno cycle that my fleet has no trouble squashing in a couple of turns. Invading xeno territory is fun for a little while, but at no point are my established colonies in danger. I have only ever completely wiped out the xenos twice, and I've played dozens of games.
The early to mid game is brilliant, and I still love this game, but sadly I'm still dreaming of a massive all-out war with big battles all over the map.

My best advice for the early game is just to build mines. Don't worry too much about overcrowding in the short term. Address it, but no matter what else is going on, keep building mines. This is the best way to maintain your revenue stream when bad politics and other in game factors take a chunk out of your profits per turn. Even on impossible I have little trouble with income if i continuously keep increasing mining.

I know this is an old thread, but I would really appreciate a "teach me how to use landmines" link. Thank you!

Has anyone had issues with alpha save data and their kickstarter keys on android? I wont get a key for a little while, but I'm having some anticipatory anxiety about the possibility of losing saved captains and unlocks when it's my turn! (It's also possible that I just think/worry too much.)

Sorry, post fail. I have the same cutoff issue. Specifically, in the 1st image the detail on the customizing queue time to completion info is lost past the right side of the screen.

Some of the info in dry dock is cut off, the one pictured and the queue I believe. Some floating faction screens are cut off due to lots of conflicts. This was in the previous version, not sure if it was fixed or not. antipickle - I moved your report here. Added these to our list.

I did, but since I was only a patreon supporter and missed the kickstarter i thought it did not apply to me.

Um, I am confused. I was waiting until pay day tomorrow to buy the android game. I downloaded the last and latest hockeyapp update last night. Just looked on the playstore and the game shows as already installed and no option to purchase? Puzzling...

Thank you! Makes more sense now. I was understanding it correctly, but i put int the wrong number for my 2nd example. What i was missing was the 0 value for no armor. I can't decide how i feel about dodge bonus being 0 until you put stealth armor on. Is stealth armor powered or extra camouflagey or something?

So i only just found out that the stealth dodge rating on stealth armors is only applied if the crewmate's stealth skill is less than the armor's dodge.
ie: If Crewmate's stealth skill = 9 and armor's stealth dodge bonus = 11, then dodge = 9 (9 strong dice).
If crewmate's stealth = 13 with the same armor, then dodge dice = 13
This would mean that once your crewmate's stealth is higher than the armor, then the armor actually decreases dodge.
While this makes real world sense, it also means that if you want your space ninja to have the best possible dodge in combat, you should just send them in naked.
Not sure why, but this bugs me a little. Maybe there could be an advanced stealth armor that offered only the minimum protection, but also didn't replace your high level assassin's natural steakth dodge?

As a player of the mobile version for the last several months i feel safe in saying it is very, very good. I'm on a galaxy s9 +, but i bet fablets are at least as good. Already very polished and so, so much fun!
