I think that if one of your veteran combat crew has the flashbacks trait that you should be able to treat it with a combat medic talent that would last 2 turns. You'd need to reapply it, and it would use the medic's initiative points, but would allow your vet to fight up to their full potential.

Great info on engine safety rating! It seems that every time I bump up against some difficulty in the game that the factors that are playing a part are much more numerous and varied than I ever would have guessed. I love that! It is so cool to play a game that this deep and complicated. Rather than some arbitrary number, there are always good and well thought out reasons for why things are happening the way they are. I love it.

I have the same issues with the order of battle controls.

As far as being able to read the text and see and tap the right controls the mobile version is doing great. I have a big samsung s9+, but on my older s5 it's also fine. 46yo eyes and reading glasses compatible!

I always stock up on skill saves ea early on and mostly i keep them throughout the game. It definitely appears that the danger rating of quadrants is partly related to the occurences of sudden morale drops. Failed rolls based on doctor, ship ops, an repair are frequently the immediate cause of the drops, and I've seen major improvement when i keep an extra crew member with those skills (and those save skills!) on board. Intimidate is the one that keeps kicking my butt. I tend to roleplay on the goodguy side of things and dont spend a lot of time pirating, etc., so my intimidate pool stays pretty shallow... guess I'll have to make room for a zealot, pirate, bounty hunter type. Or spend my bonus skill points on improving my "icy stare"!

High danger quadrants might be the issue for me. Thats something i havent been checking at all. I know radiation storms will do it, but theyre not always the culprit. Ill start making notes when it happens to see if i can figure it out.

Just recently (last 2 days) I have been getting, well, sudden drops in morale. There is usually a precipitating evet in the scroll on the right side of the ui. My problem is that there are no apparent warning signs. I can heal and visit the spice halls and everyone is at least 80, and then out of nowhere have 6 or 8 crew ready to jump ship at the next planetfall. I try to hit up any spice halls that are not from my home faction, but often there just aren't any around. The second i touch down on a home faction world i lose 1 to 4 veteran crew members. Playing on hard. Like i said, i wasnt seeing this very often until the last couple of days.
Does anyone have any advice on preventing this phenomenon? I think im probably missing something.

Wondering if Faction specific jobs are still a possibility? If so I may have an idea for one. We've talked about the Steel Song Blade Dancer in the past. Yes please!

Does Frontiers track which party member gets the kill like in HoS? If so, then:
Counting Coup (any crew combat elligible character) morale bonus for finishing off an enemy. (Maybe a tiny self buff also?)

Narrowly edging out good ol' Yap Sneziot (who was a Javat Archivist if i remember correctly) for my favorite random name of all time is... Noisome Shwee the Zenrin merchant! I love the fact that I so frequently find things in this game that make me laugh out loud.

I really like the shock trooper!
Is there a plan for an alternate pilot class for fighters?

Kessel Run - Navigator talent reduces jump time significantly but runs a risk of serious damage to hyperwarp drive, possibly one other random ship component and/or crew damage. Meant to be used when desperate to beat a mission deadline.
