In a way it kind of makes sense grävling. They get so bored quickly and their sense of adventure kicks in. They go off to find new worlds, have fun, make friends, but after that initial high drops, time to go find another. Aha, but then it is not 'the loneliness of space' and insecurity that is getting to them. This is 'I hate planets!', or maybe 'I hate the Star Trader zones on inhabited planets!' a different problem. (which might go away when you return to space).

No worries about the update! I'm happy for the unique craft, but really wish it had a lower price tag! Or there was a way to, Cyberknight style, put a call out to rehire crew you had to leave planetside in the past. They would cost more, and of course there would be a significant chance they weren't interested in fickle old you ...

I think that anybody who is so exhilarated by travel and new experiences should be immune to becoming 'worldsick'. (I'm not worldsick, really, this is just a very bad hangover!)

This new ship showed up on Android 2.5.63. Does this mean that android releases are *ahead* of the steam ones? I searched all the forums for the phrase 'gunhawk sabre' and came up empty. So missing from a set of release notes here? And here we have two 'release #162's -- Doomsday Stashers and Goltha Theory -- this is a numbering error? Which one comes second? a 6 officer 10/7/1 m2400 ship with 18 crew -- That android notes say is designed for boarding and close range combat? But by the time you can afford one, you will end up needing to beach at least 6 crew! I'd be interested in knowing how popular this ship is. Preliminary Marketing research in Alpha Red Abyss indicate strong captain resistance to running this lean and mean And seems overpriced, given that you can get a Crimson Defender for (at least with this captain) only 55k more, or a Vengeance for 60k less. Newbie Rychart Captain Grävling, saving my pennies for a Crimson Defender (though I am not sure it will turn out better than the Vengeance I usually buy).

This showed up as a weekly special from a company that sells electronic gadgets and ways to pimp your phone. It made me think that I would like some stealth-improving gear to wear on missions.

Also, there are easier ways to make money than as an explorer. The problem with exploring is that it costs so much to get yourself repaired, and until you get yourself a fist full of 'replace this explore card I do not like with something I do like, or remove it' talents, you will nearly always be doing things that cause you to need repair. Plus before you get your a5 weapons locker, crew combat is going to be prohibitively costly.

The bartender goes "Where the hell have you been?!?" The cat simply replies ... "I've been on paws." (actually, I went half-way around the world to Sweden, loitered there for a week, then to London before back to Sydney. I therefore didn't go right around the world, but clearly got half way, got bored, and went back the way I came). And you didn't come visiting? Shame, shame, though I might have been in Toronto for some of that time ....

If you can live long enough, swapping etechs for pilots seems to be workable. (I just hired plenty of pilots and then didn't replace my etechs as they got killed in combat, and ended up with a pilot-heavy build without planning for it.) But getting through the 'we run from all fights' stage on piloting alone has not been working for me.
