*******EDIT*********
ok, you can ignore the question in this post, because i DID find a way. turns out, the "Super Manager" did have a backup function, but it was a small button along with lots of other buttons that were kind of ambiguous. On top of the fact it was so obscure, the button was labelled "bAPK", which to me didn't register as "Back Up APK". I thought that it was some crazy function that I didnt want to mess with, given just having read up on rooting your phone, and this thing had the built in capability to do so.
I DO however have a NEW question.
Where exactly are the game files stored? (Save Game) The game seems to run fine in the emulator, but I cannot "Load' my game. I am assuming it is held in a different spot on the phone, thus the backup only copied the "Virgin" game file. (if you don't want to post it here, you can tell me in PM, or if you just dont want people to know (hexing the save game strikes me as one reason you might not....), i suppose i can just deal with creating a new character and having one for the phone and one for the pc.
(also with save states, I could give you a little info, you may not even know about your game. Like whether the random "roll" of an attack occurs at a specific moment in the game, or just the instant you hit the button. You simply save before hitting it, then reload 10-20 times and graph the results. if they are all the same roll, you know that the hit% is being calculated BEFORE hitting the button. At least in a few of my unfinished games, I needed to find that info out to fix a timing bug, and never would have known if not for being able to run it in an emulator for windows, a couple of years after quitting. {which BITES!!!}
***********END EDIT******************
this is not so much a bug, buy i didnt really know where else to ask this. Cory, Fallen, you may not know either. it may just be a phone related issue. I am attempting to write a guide for this game (not a full on walkthrough, just a in depth tutorial of sorts, explaining the hacking, combat, how to increase your movement range, AP, and also to create an HTML interactive "Ultimate Guide to the New Boston Zone"
basically, you get a 36 square hex map. click on whichever hex you need, and a nice little page, complete with "satellite" photo (lol) comes up, detailing clinics, shops, inns, bars, mission givers, and data terminals. when any of those are clicked on, the shop lists the items available, and all the info that you see on screen. when the terminal is clicked, it will list the nodes available at that particular location.
my intent is that this can be placed here for people to use as a reference, and to help new players not feel so "lost".
however i have a problem.
the sheer ammount of things i will have to do, not to mention grabbing screenshots, makes the phone a horrible choice to run the game.
i have already discovered the YouWave emulator to be perfect for this job, as well as just playing games in general. however aside from that nasty little no good apk i found (and shall not repeat) i have no idea on how to get the game over to my computer.
i have tried all these options;
i could just be being silly, and missing something obvious, but i am almost to the point of ripping my hair out. why does google have to make it so damned hard to get what you've already paid for, off of their dreadful market! maybe i dont want the game on my phone! maybe im a game-o-holic, and i want to store some games on the pc, so that i dont have to constantly redownload and re-install games when my space is running low!
any help would be greatly appreciated. (or the bad news that there is no help, in which case, i may end up bald, one handful of hair at a time...)

i have tried all these options;
- plugging the phone to the computer, but the file is not listed. the only one i can find, is the in android_secure folder, and it is an .asec file, not an .apk
- looked online, and saw people suggesting a backup. i have tried astro manager, super manager (which doesnt seem to have a backup option) and the other reccomendation is the titanium backup, but that requires rooting your phone, and i would rather not do that unless neccessary.
- Finally, i have tried to download it from the android marketplace, however it gives me no download options unless my phone is connected to the pc, and then, only to my phone (which begs the question; "why the hell even have a WEBSITE, if all it does is put the things right on your phone, which you can do more easily, FROM YOUR PHONE!)
- one final question is this. if anyone here can help me with this problem (or break the news that i will have to risk rooting my phone) then i would like to know how i would go about transferring my save game from one to another. (PC to Phone, and back)
