hmm... let me take a look and see. I will have to get abck to you on that one. right now i have most of the info. im trying to keep it limited to what a player would find if he/she took the time to look around. its going to have a starter section for newbies, and a reference guide that everyone can use. i am going to post a new thread shortly that details hacking from start to finish. there will be a version of that in the guide, but i wanted to go ahead and get that up so that all the people who have questions can find help. i really appreciate the help Cory. i will send you a message here in a minute with a few things that would help.

i am almost done with a hacking tutorial, using screenshots to help with all the hacking related questions. i figured it should take priority since that seems to be the most pressing issue. but i am also nearly done with the different areas, with their shop listings. i havent yet started on shop inventories though. oh, and i am also working on a way to create the "Map". its basically a grid that uses the maps seen in the travel screen. you click on one and it takes you to that area's information sheet, with quest info, shops and inventory. i may also do encounters and what not, but my intent isnt to spoil every little bit of info, so i may scratch going too in depth on some of the info. fear not, a release date is forthcoming. Ah... if you've not started with the shop inventories, listings and an interactive grid map, I'm halfway done there. I'm only missing a supposed info sheet, encounter list and possible quest information. Perhaps we could combine the two. That, or I could provide one in Excel (which could be easily transferred to OpenOffice or Gnumeric) which could be referred to offline while you work on one that's online with more detailed specifics and active links to other sites.

If you could send me a spreadsheet of all the shops in town, it'd save my character thousands of Nuyen for some serious Cyber upgrades!

Oh shit... my phone's out. The interactive Excel database would have been out by next week... Anyone out there who might have a similar database, which maps and everything to send to me, or me to you? It doesn't matter as long as we could get it done soon.
I seriously do not think we need to take more than 2 months to make it. I only started 2 weeks ago, basically having at it during my lunch break at my office and I'm already about halfway done.

i really need the 32 map graphics (the small ones you see when taking a taxi or selecting a location to walk to) and the building icons that you see in the map screen (like global terminal, shops, etc) in order to get my guide put together. i cannot take screenshots, my phone will not connect with my computer, neither will jen's. was hoping for cory to send me the graphics, but i will happily accept raw screenshots if anyone is willing to take them for me. its a little bit of a pain to have to crop them all, but at this point, i just want to get this guide out to the players here.

Er... actually, you don't really need them. You could make your own using MSPaint. It would not be identical, but as long as it could be easily recognisable, it wouldn not be a problem. I did that on the Excel sheet I'm making. If you could not draw even if your life depends on it, color-code the grid and place legends to indicate what each color means. Once Corey could find the time to hand you the graphics, simply upload it then. It's really simple to make a guide, actually. Have you ever wrote/read walkthroughs for GameFAQs? They could make some mean maps using TXT files.

Hello all,
Fun game(s) which I play on both my HTC Sensation and EVO 4G. After one of the updates this past week the EVO performance went wonky. The graphics in the main map appear to malfunction. The ground textures do not display, just black. When I zoom the map the original size images (houses and char) stay and the new sized images also display. Moving the map causes artifacts and bluring. The game seems to function normally aside from this though I have not successfully gotten into combat ( unplayable) .
Guessing it might be a failed update. Hoping to be able to save the game as not to lose current progress. Thoughts?
No problems on the Sensation. Thanks!

@hauptueben - if you uninstall, you will lose all your characters. At the moment, I'd suggest waiting to the next update (should be soon... few days at best) and trying to get a good update.
Also, if you can use CatLog, you might get some good diagnostics about what is happening in there.

No idea if this was reported and I'm in a hurry. Create 1 (one) character. Play game, quit. Open Saved Games, delete character. Hit back button (HTC Desire), press continue (button doesn't reset to new game). FC.

Hi I'm back (on this forum). Off I went for a low-bandwidth holiday, so before I left civilisation I loaded up on a game from my fave crew, Trese Bros. Two weeks later here is my report from the front lines of NBZ. AP seems to be based on the skill level of the currently wielded weapon at the start of the combat turn, which leads to a few silly things such as 1. always trying to end the turn holding a weapon from your higher/highest skill set, 2. then switching to a weapon from another skill set at the start of the turn (zero APs to switch) to gain extra APs with that (less skilled) weapon. This needs to be fixed. A harsh option would be to make APs be the minimum of any weapon wielded during the turn, with immediate effect. This would fix point 2 but not point 1. A better fix would be to pro-rata the APs depending on when during the turn you switched, i.e. under the hood you track "% of combat turn completed" rather than APs expended, and then at any point you can convert % used x Max APs into a Current APs remaining. However it's also silly that (AP =) number of attacks is tied to (AP = ) movement distance and (AP = ) initiative order in such a tight way. Holstering my gun and activating my Knuckler should not let me run farther. At the moment it's trivial to beat opponents who have fewer APs. As a melee fighter you dance in and out of their weapon range. As a ranged fighter it's even easier. Of course once you fight hard opponents with bad ass weapons, armour and APs you get creamed. This AP mechanic problem is common to many RPG tactical systems and has been around a long time. There are no perfect solutions but the current AP implementation in CK could be a lot better. For example here's a proposal Number of squares I can move in a full combat turn is some function of some attributes and skills. Number of attacks I can make in a turn is some function of attributes, skills, weapon. During each phase of the combat turn I either move or attack (like now). Moving or attack burns off APs pro rata. So if I can do two attacks, one attack burns off 50% of my APs. If I can move 5 squares, moving one square burns off 20% of my APs. Basically everyone gets the same number of APs - 10, 20, 100, depending how granular you want to be. Another thing that I find a bit weird/buggy is some resale prices. The game seems to remember the price I paid for things, and the sale price offered by a buyer is a fraction of my purchase price. This leads to buyers paying different prices for different copies of the same item. I think this is a game balance mechanic to stop players exploiting price differences between different sellers. Fair enough, it just needs some kind of in-game explanation otherwise it seems odd. The most extreme example is I can buy some kind of cool melee weapon (I forget the name) early in the game at about one quarter the normal price from one specific location. This is presumably deliberate to help me get started in life. But if I sell said item, I only get one quarter of the price that the buyer would pay for the same item if I bought it 'legit'. Again, these are both good mechanics, just needs some in game window dressing to avoid the appearance of weirdness. After playing on and off for 2 weeks most evenings, I am in a rut where I literally don't know what to do next. I can kill gangers easily, but security firms and corporates kick my ass every time and I can't even run away from them before I get killed. I realise it's a sandbox but what I as a player need at this point is some guidance on how to move up to the next level of difficulty. Literally, what do I do next? One irritating thing about the game is that the building icons don't give the full scoop on what each location does, in very important ways, so it's necessary to visit every building and then keep paper notes on what is where. Now I had this discussion with Cory already on ST RPG and I know he thinks it's a fun aspect of a game to keep paper notes (or human memory). I respect that but I still don't share that play style. At the very least, it would be good if Creepy's Coffin Hotel (etc) was flagged as an Armour Seller or Drug Buyer *after* I've visited it, if not beforehand. I have looked for, and never seen, MP increase after getting refreshments or private room services. Maybe I missed something? It would be good if there was more clear feedback on when you need refreshment, and when you benefited from it. At the moment it always says you need it (inside the building menu) and I have never seen any feedback of benefiting from it. The invisible / reappearing default armour and default weapon thing has obviously confused many people so there should be some explanation text around that. My reputation seems to degenerate quickly into Legendary Coward despite me totally winnning any fight I engage in, and engaging in almost all fights unless I am 90% dead and running to a hotel. They should fear my blood soaked power-fist, instead small children snicker at me and throw stones. I think the cowardice rep algorithm needs tweaking. Unless all CKs are supposed to be like Arnold Schwarzenegger and never refuse a fight, just tank their way through every fight like brainless muscleheads? Doesn't sound very cyberpunk to me. Nice music, nice graphics, nice gameplay, nice concept, very playable. Sorry that part wasn't a bug report.

Found a money issue.
When requesting refreshments and relaxation time while at a hang-out, 10Y are subtracted from my money total. 1) the 10Y cost is not listed as a price 2) There is no check to the current amount of money I have and I can end up with negative nuyen.. tsk tsk.
3) I tried running around with -Y for a while to see what I could or could not do... 3a) I was able to use a phone the first try(in a bar) 3b) but the Taxi driver wouldn't give me a ride. pity. 3c) I tried a Data Terminal next and I was not able to make phone calls 3d) I could not make a phone call from any location after that 3e) I could not purchase gear, get hotels, or anything else that required money (as it should be)
So, it seems that it is just a missed check when wanting to relax for a while.

Don't know if this is a bug or intentional. I am playing currently on Brutal Mode, and when I take a package pickup mission in the Fens (marked for K Horizon in Los Val faction) I get shortchanged the mission amount for pickup. ie. I negotiate the fee to 60 from 30, however when I pickup the package, I only get paid 20. Just a heads up--like I said don't know if that's intentional or not due to the difficulty level.

Tsuegyeah, i noticed that bug a while back. I wanted to see if i could find what function it served. I ended up with- 800¥ due to the fact that i spammed on the button hoping to produce a large enough effect that i (hopefully) would notice when i checked my stats. With it being the early parts of the game, it took me quite some time to get it back into positive territories.
