Please share your thoughts on coverage of different parts of the system.
We know that there are some areas of the tutorial that need to better covered -- specifically, the Battleforce HQ will be getting explanation screens. The first HQ visit will explain leveling (around your Captain) and the second will address Requisition (now that you have points to buy in).
We'd love to hear your thoughts on the pacing and the success of the information provided.
Also note, that due to pacing, level 3 in the currently provided tutorial is not likely to stay there.
Thanks in advance for the valuable feedback!

I like the immersive tutorial. There are some things that seem to have no explaination at the moment like the skill tree (which reminds me of the research tree from X4) and equipment. I selected a hydraulic injector to inspect and got some sort of war gear error. I only played the first level so far, but will the first level of that campaign be presented as a tutorial on release, or will each level of it teach something new?

I just started so in first tutorial.I managed to let my soldier die mainly during the process of experimenting with how exactly overwatch skill worked.
No big deal except death in a tutorial is not usually the stuff of legends or hall of fame material:)

I've noticed that you are not pointed to go into the leveling screen. even though you are able to level after your first time at the HQ screen

Unless Templar ranking are different than we have seen before, isn't it strange that a Corporal, such as Luthor, can give field promotions? I can see that he leads a squad, but why is a rank that is one step above standard soldier promoting people to Captain?

We should publish a more explicit set of Templar ranks to go along with this game.

Oh, and speaking of oddities I have noticed, why do the decks with the Xeno on board suddenly have what I assume is Xeno biomass (the blue gunk and red-blue pustules growing out of it), when the boarding action started within only an hour or so ago? I only noticed this in TA when there was a serious, ongoing infestation. Is this a type of Xeno weapon?

The Xeno bioform any space they occupy, creating a fungal mat that grows and supports the Xeno lifecycle. Each micro-ecology is unique to the Xeno species and many of the byproducts are incredibly valuable, dangerous and/or useful to humans.
A ship that has been under continuous attack for several hours will already by infested with the fibrous masses and spore pod clusters. Within a few months, they could overrun a planet.

That makes sense. Almost reminds me of the Orks from 40k (WAAAAAGH!). This also explains why the skitterings like to spawn there. Are the Skitterings juvenile Xenoform, and the Hunters mature drones? Or separate "castes" entirely?
