I was thinking about the end to level 5 and the destruction of the Xeno Carrier. There should be some kind of cutscene or something at the end. The Knights rushing out before the explosion doesn't quite seem like a complete ending,to me anyway. Yes, all of the cinematics are currently missing I kinda figured that something was in the works

Found a couple of typos in the tutorial.
Level 1: After completing the control room objective this sentence appears 'This tactical point will open the doors protecting the passage deeper into the temple'. I don't think that this is the right sentence for the control room. I can't remember exactly but I think it should be in Temple Complex after captuing the northern TP?
Level 4: In the intro sequence the Captain says 'Templars, we must gather into a defensive formication!' Hopefuly, formication should be formation?
The HQ sequences look good, though some of the arrows need resizing on some screens where they overlap the explanation.
I thought the sequences cycled through too quickly, there was not enough time to read the explanation and put it into context. Can the sequence be 'tapped through' instead, like the in-game dialogue, or have a repeat option?
Would there be any benefit from collating the tips from the tutorial and giving them a section in the library?

bobc - thanks for the feedback - I fixed the typos and the incorrect dialog from the first level. I am looking into the ability to replay the tutorial. A tap through interface is possible ... I will see if we can squeeze it in. Recombinating all of that advice into library entries would be wise

I have decided to just let it be -- I will never really be good at English spelling or grammar So, I am just going to make stuff up now and again, see? I think I spent all my language points on Java and C++. Nothing left for good old en-US.

Just like fallen's new Shadowrun character LOL What's his build? I recently made my first for a PbP game, and he's a Troll from Seattle with gang roots.

My current campaign uses the team-builder style, so everyone creates their Face first. Fallen made a bit of psycho ... street con-artist with risky cyberware, a bad attitude and lots of mental issues.
I would classify it as a human cyber face.

My troll is just a guy from the slums trying to earn a living. He is too poor for any cyberware, but he has a nice custom M21 Colt. And a taser.

Hello. It's been a year since I've played any Trese brothers games. Having finished TA Narvidian campaigns I decided to give TF a go.
I have to agree that level 3 is daunting for new players. I am a TA player and I had to retry three times. I took the commander, a scout, and a soldier on walkabout around the level while I left an engineer and two soldiers to guard the tactical point.
I didn't know about spawn points. I found one on turn 21 or so.
Meanwhile the xenos had hit the tp from all directions. I could not deploy my soldiers to prevent it being hit. By the time the smoke cleared, there were two dead soldiers around the tp.
Having two of the relays blow up in my face in the process was not amusing.
I understand that is random to 'increase repeatability'? I suggest a tutorial isn't meant to be replayable; its meant to introduce the game mechanics and be somewhat fun. The original TA tutorial did this well.
I finished the tutorial campaign which was much easier after that. I find myself daunted by the tech tree. It seems complex enough that it will be very easy to cripple myself with no way to recover save a restart.
This is normal difficulty,, by the way.
At any rate, those are my impressions and I hope they are useful to the Trese brothers. The graphics are very nice, and as an aside I really like the new ST4x. Quality damage is greatly reduced, making invasions more practical. Also morale is easier to boost, at least at the lower levels of difficulty.
So that's my take ST4x is much improved , TF tutorial 3 is very frustrating for new players, even vets of other TBgames.
Respectfully,
Brian P.

The tutorial level 3 is there specifically to illustrate that we intend, throughout the game, to give more advanced challenges, objectives and to use randomization. When the game was first released, our analytics showed that it was a stumbling block for many new players, but we have made adjustments and no longer find that it is tripping up very many players. Sorry that you had a tough time with it! I hope you are not daunted by the RQ tree for long. There are no wrong answers, honestly, so you're very unlikely to cripple yourself. One way to back into making good decisions is to wait until you need to spend your RP. If your Soldier can't get Burst Fire level 4, click the "View Req" button, and it will take you to the RQ tree, and you can buy up to that upgrade. Do this with EQ and Talents, and "get what you need" and save the rest of your RQ points until you feel comfortable. The size and complexity of the RQ tree is in the top 3 positive data points listed by players who enjoy the game, so we're very excited about it, and in fact, expanding it. I hope you'll find it less daunting as you go!

Thank you, fallen. I certainly hope so too! Thanks for working so hard to make such a cool game! Something that would make it easier; perhaps some advice. What I want is soldier/scout/engineer/captain/paladin/hydra. I guess I can't build up ALL my specialists, so I'll go with everybody's favorite Xeno cooker, which also doubles as a handy way to start campfires and perform home renovation. Is it possible to do this? Or am I going to have to sacrifice one of those six specialties? I'm going to need a scout for infiltration, a soldier for all-purpose work, and an engineer to capture stuff. A captain, obviously. Will I have time to build up paladin as well? Or am I going to have to research and get by with ordnance medpacks? Respectfully, Brian P.
