That's a tricky quesiton, which also depends on how many points you put into a skill For example, LvL 1 Ethereeal anguish, lvl 5/6 Flash freeze, Level 10 Lighning spear
Going by Character Vraes - Defenitely Phalanx Shield, Right from Lvl 1 to 10. Vraes gets plenty of parry anyway. This skill rounds it out very nicely. (Ferocity is awesome too but only when combined with Sac) Kincaid - Sure Parry. Most of the other skills are good but don't stand out (Level 9/10 Flanking unity always holds a soft spot) Kjartan - Choking Ash. Period. Vincent - Level 10 LS Kyera - Level 1 EA Fyona - Holy Strickening. Maybe the new Reckoning but I haven't played with it much Tamilin - Nothing to me stands out particularly. But maybe Silent stalker because -Armor, or maybe RO for sheer damage? Selen - Quicksilver defence. I still haven't found an easier tank to play than a quickly maxxed out QsD Selen.

Picking one for Selen is so hard.

Cory Trese I disagree. QSD is the reason I pick her over Tam for NMI teams. It allows your lock picker to also be a tank. Essential in the storerooms if You are not using warding words and survivability in general is king on NMI

Essential in the storerooms if You are not using warding words and survivability in general is king on NMI Or you just raise Stealth to a level where you win initiative. For both rogue characters I raise the +Stealth talents to 10 as early as possible, with one point in QsD thrown in for Selen. For Tam this combines with lots of Dodge for the rare init roll loss.

Considering that its not too hard in terms of skill, gear, talents to put the Stealth equation to bed, this is a very valid option. Raise it enough and you are 100% of the time going to get the lead. The number of story events that give the lead away are less than 10 in the whole game.

Kjartan - Choking Ash. Period. Sounds painful... Only works against females... ... I was always a fan of Vincent over Kjarten but Choking Ash is über important in games I use him. I'm beginning to shift balance of favour back to Kjarten because choking Ash makes a world of difference.

A big Armor debug is very helpful for groups that deal a lot of physical damage.

A big Armor debug is very helpful for groups that deal a lot of physical damage. Or in nightmare. Giant rats, armored anything...it's painful to kill them otherwise.

fallen, it sure looks like it might be... I'm testing a new group abusing Strickening and have 4 points banked to dump right into Sundering 5. If it all works like I think it will, then we may have a contender.
