The more of a scene you make the better. I once punched a 4 year old across the mouth while bellowing FEROCITY, and Vraes crit for over 700 points before I even got to Red Hill.

Oh boy, we're going off the rails fast.
Maaaaaybe -- what do you think is the best talent in the game?

If I could only level one talent hmmm. I'd end up with a lot of un spent points...so this is more of a talent to max first
Vraes: 1 handed build: Phalanx shield,; 2 handed build: natural mastery
KJ: Choking Ash
Kyera: If she is the ap stripper than EA, if someone else has that covered than Warders shield
Tamilin: Deadly Intuition or ToS, depends on group
Kincaid: Cunning Footwork
Vincent: This is almost impossible for me because all of my builds have him focusing on 2 main talents. Either Energy Storm and Thundering Blades or Flash Freeze and Frigid Air...I suppose if I absolutely had to choose it would be flash freeze
Fyona: Reckoning
Selen: Dance of Shadows for melee, pinning shot for ranged
Overall the most powerful talent in the game to me is Choking Ash because it is the hardest to sub out

I have come to similar conclusions as CdrPlatypus almost point for point excepting some minor variations especially Selen melee - punishing blades paired with Vincent, otherwise QsD dual wield... CA is definitely is the hardest to replace... Makes squishy Kjartan worth it more often than not.

wascalwywabbit The closest to replacing CA IMO is ES + TB and Strickening, which actually will end up with a higher dmg out put, but is a lot more SP costly and takes longer to develop.

Yeah I combined that with FU, works pretty well.

wascalwywabbit The other thing is that ES + TB is incredibly flexible. YOu have the ES double tap when everything needs to die horribly right now. The ES + LS 1 boosted by TB when you can afford time to low SP plink things to death. And of Course ES mainly as a curse and sit back and chill while the melee team takes the rest out.

I'm learning about those sorts... albeit slowly.

ES double tap is ridiculous. ES double tap combined with TB and Strickening? Almost breaks the game.

ES double tap is ridiculous. ES double tap combined with TB and Strickening? Almost breaks the game. It's balanced with the huge sp cost of that combo though

What about Juggernaut? It looks good on paper from looking at the talent table - but I've played less than 5 hours, I think

Juggernaut is good when someone else does the main job of damage dealing so Vraes can finish everyone off.
I might also change my choices after having more experience with the game and some talents changing:
Vraes: Phalanx Shield, heads on. Along with a good shield this will block about two third of all ranged attacks that would otherwise come through. Kincaid: Sure Parry. A guaranteed blocking of three melee attacks that came through your already extremely high melee defense? You won't get hit in melee. Ever. Plus Cunning Footwork. This is less special but adds attack, defense and damage. Wonderful. Kjartan: still Choking Ash, because it's a phenomenal defense debuff, makes everything easy to hit and slightly raises damage. Vincent: Elemental Sundering. Combine with Fyona's Strickening and some +elemental damage buffs for 60 to 80 extra damage per hit, and get most of your SP back by doing so. Tamilin: Blacknight is a no brainer, not extremely good but nonetheless necessary. Silent Stalker is wonderful for killing off some enemies on turn 1, but it still shines on afterwards as -12 Acc will make even bosses miss quite often. Torrent would be phenomenal as it provides a -2AP curse at 1 AP cost, but it needs invest in a second weapon skill. Selen: QSD for a ridiculous 32 defense dice, Pinning Shot for its ability to debuff and mass damage. Like Blacknight for Tam, Dance of Shadows isn't great but necessary if you want Selen to lead. Kyera: EA, obviously. 2AP for a -2AP mass curse that is also a -Acc mass curse is just phenomenal and makes surviving just so much easier. Fyona: Strickening. Combined with heavily elemental damage buffs, this can add ridiculous amounts of damage.

Lightning Spear/Immolation/AoE in general makes for a great combo with Juggernaut.
Only problem with Juggernaut is that the returns are *not* guaranteed, and if you don't get the kill the attack is basically wasted.

Punched a hole in the wall and screamed FEROCITY, my phone reset and when I turned it back on I was playing Legends of Steel from the future. Love that talent.
