I like shooters, strategy, ATLUS-hard games and dungeon-crawlers. I also enjoy a good story-heavy game-- think "Lifeline", "Sorcery!", "Choice of: Robots" and so on.
And no one dares admits to being a filthy casual!!

...
I also play Minecraft, Dynasty Warriors (its dumb fun, I tell ya!) and Nebulous (a better version of Agar.io). Don't you judge me. ;_;

For me it really, really depends. If I had to use just one modifier, it would have to be.....
TACTICAL games
Tactical role-playing, Tactical strategy, Tactical shooters, etc. I love 'em all. So, I really like TA/BF/HoS. The combat of ST/CK is really right up my alley as well. Rainbow 6, Payday 2, etc are all more or less the kinds of games I love.
Anyone here play Nexus: The Jupiter Incident? That right there was an amazingly fun game.

RPG's mostly, though I've gotten into strategy games lately. Also Steath games,mostly Metal Gear. And whatever you'd call Tropico

I like rts, rpg and shooters, but it is kind of hard for me to find any game that would be addictive to me on android (except for puzzle games or ST RPG). Well, I found one, Heroes of steel... But when one has to buy everything, it is unplayable for us free players... Sucks to be a student from Czech, as we don't have any these kinds of bonuses like free cards or so (well we have, but we don't have any reasonable ways to earn them). And taking a US proxy and create for example a microsoft account to be able to use Bing search feature just feels wrong

My favorite type of game? I'm not sure how accurately I can describe it, but I'll attempt to.
The kind of game I enjoy most is the kind that allows for deep customization of the players' character's/vehicle's/fleet's/whatever's abilities and strengths, while the game is also very challenging without making any one play style or "build" "the best". The idea is to not only let players have individual character/thing builds that fulfill different particular roles or strategies. Even within such particular roles or strategies there is no absolutely "optimal" build. There are different ways to do things with their own advantages and disadvantages, and also to consider is the player's familiarity and learned tactics or skill with it (to be clear I mean the player's literal skill at it rather than a skill tree or something). In short, the player's build influences their play style, while their play style influences their build, as they learn the mechanics of the game and become better at it.
A couple of examples of this are Armored Core: Verdict Day and ST:4X.

(I swore I was in another beta and had a copy of HoS, but I don't see anything on it in my emails. Oh well). I can at least get you a copy of ST4X.

A toss up between RPG and Strategy, so I went for RPG because of the stories, the characters, the locations and the lasting memories they make.
