What's the average top speed for a Leviathan?
Can they jump, and how heavy are they?
Compared to animals on earth, how large are the different kinds of Xeno?

Ok random thought with no real bearing on gameplay but...are the Templars strictly caste based and only marry within their specific caste?
Trying to picture the lineage thing and how those genetic memories would operate and wondering if they are not caste based, does the genetic memory work like gene traits so the children of say a soldier and an engineer are more likely to inherete the Soldiers lineage memories but a smaller percentage would get the engineers memories.
Also I'm guessing that these "memories" are more on the subconscious level akin to instincts as oppossed to full blown actual memories of all those ancestors experiences?

There is mention in the game dialouge about diving deep for specific memories being possible, but dangerous to the individual. I think of this as something like meditation with the risk of brain damage from the strain. Correct me if I have the wrong impression Cory Trese.

I've got one. Are the Leviathan suits closer to power armor or full mechs? Full mechs. Not power armor. For reference only, in 40k terms...they are not Marine power armor, so are we looking at Terminator size mechs (~15ft/5m tall) or Dreadnoughts at about twice that? NOTE: Don't compare the minis or use the recent retcons from the last few years, the scale isn't consistent. True scale power armor Space Marine (as described in the fluff) minis are built using beefed up Terminator bits and should be on 40mm bases.

We've got some new artwork in development that shows how a pilot sits in the Leviathan mech.

Anything for the OP, Mister Trese? Many of the questions about cults and things are answered in the game Don't want to spoil anything.

Full mechs. Not power armor. Would a Templar knight be as effective a warrior against the xeno if they weren't piloting their leviathan mechs? Templars are physically normal humans. So against a xeno ... imagine the escort levels in Ferarai Lance...

Cory Trese, fallen, a question that has been nagging at me. If the templars need their mechs to fight the xeno, how are the boarding troops armed and armored in ST4X so that assault fighters can deploy boarding troops, via boarding pods and shuttles, onto xeno ships to fight them there?

With the heaviest modern weapons your tech tree can purchase. If you play late into the Battleforce campaign, you get a chance to control Faction soldiers and fight xeno directly. This should give you an idea about the casualty rates of these boarding parties, but also show you that with concentrated fire, choke points and well-executed tactics -- Faction soldiers can lay the beat down on xeno.

Thanks fallen. With those casualty rates, faction soldiers must be desperate or suicidal to enter an alien ship. But I still like using assault fighters in ST4x. I've only got as far as the extermination protocol mission. Guess I could have waited to ask and then I might not have had to

Chance - again, when you get there, I think you'll see that Faction soldiers, with numbers, can take on some aliens. It's going to be a nasty uphill battle at best. I really love that we can explain parts of one game by showing it in action in a completely different context in another game. One of the great results of making so many games from different perspectives in the same world.

fallen Does the FDF have any heavy armor? Tanks, mobile artillery , etc...? I'd be thinking plasma guns, flamers, depleted uranium anti material rifles, and rocket launchers as min equipment. I wouldn't be defending the capital with basic riflemen. The cultists seem better armed then the FDF on Mok prime.

Yes, Faction forces would be packing heavier punches than rifleman, especially those in 4X where you have had years to build up a military might. About Mok Prime ... Remember on Mok Prime that much of the fighting in the area you're has already seen battle sweep over it and seen the FDF loose badly. The big guns went out in the first wave of fighting. They are trying to gather new reinforcements and armor. The drop ship seen at the Starport battle doesn't have time to unload its heavy soldiers and armor, as its driven off very quickly.
