After seeing how the human soldiers fare against the Xenos compared to Templars.....when my Star Traders Captain beat an alien ship's captain in a duel, how did that work? I mean other then his ability to loose 3 eyes in one fight, the star traders captain was an ordinary human right? Star Traders are/were ordinary humans who have been hardened by the harrows of space. You're lost eyes and hands have been replaced by techonologist doctors, or sewn over by patches. You've sailed the stars, survived where hundreds if not thousands of crew members have died, fought hundreds of engagements against enemy ships and faced the xeno in direct combat. A veteran Star Trader captain is a hardened soul, deadly, fast, resourceful and above all hard to kill. If you use your human soldiers effectively against xeno, they can do very well. It requires choke points and focused fire, but in the Mok level with the big guns I relied on 3 FDF to hold an entire flank for most of a mission. When one of them was finally tagged and killed, the house of cards collapsed in a second, but together, with the right choke points, they were able to kill many, many xeno.

That's probably the most badass description I've heard for a Star Trader's Captain. If your careful the human troops are useful,it was a fun challenge trying to hold the line. I think that was my favorite level so far.....would be cool to have more levels where we fight beside non templar forces. I had them backing up the scout I had covering a paladin, with a good firing line and a bit of luck they did a decent job cleaning up wounded Xenos.

How many Templars are there? In the story's quadrant and all the others?

How many Templars are there? In the story's quadrant and all the others? In the Cirm Quadrant, there were just over 1,000 Templars between the Aer Prima and the Righteous Fallen. With the loss of the Aer Prima, more than half of their numbers perished, and in the following years of conflict, many more were lost. The exact number would depend on your skill at playing but you can sense a difficulty future for the Zendu ...
