As one who observes the bigger picture on the battlefield and reacts accordingly, my vote must be for taking out their tactical net. Their hive can be isolated and excised, but with their Command center operational, who knows what further horrors they could unleash?

In any battle, info is king. I say take out the tactics net. Without comms, they will crumble under our might and the FDF's.

OOC: Been a while since I played so may be wrong, but isn't the Hive one of the newest additions to BF and a sort of side mission or am I confused about where we are in campaign?

While the xeno cult is an unknown, we all know what an entrenched hive can accomplish. Burn the xeno. Also, I'm still picking bits of cultist out of my gauntlet and would prefer mixing it up xeno once again.

We must destroy the hive. We cannot let an infestation spread on Rychart Prime. The FDF cannot handle it. We must.

I'll be honest when I first started reading this thread I was hoping for an actual "Let's Play" as I was curious as how others dealt with the higher difficulties (I'm on Easy about to beat it and move to Normal). I forget that many people play this on phones or tablets and not Steam.
Still I'd love to actually see a Let's Play of this game on a harder difficulty.

Oorah, brothers! It is good to at last get into action! My vote is to strike the hive. We can spare the time to do so, and we shall save the lives of many Rychert force members who would otherwise perish in the battle. Humans are so few in the Great Exodus we must consider every human life worth its weight in spice, so we shouldn't throw them away against skitterings and hunters. Then, too, we may also collect intelligence on the threat which Rychert might otherwise conceal. [OOC: It also is a completely optional bonus mission, which means a well of XP and assault overflow kits we wouldn't otherwise get. ETA: If we choose the hive, we still have to do the comm relay mission anyway. So the question is whether we want one extra mission. More RP? More XP? Can I get a heck yes? ] Ironman IS the highest difficulty . Respectfully, Brian P.

Ironman IS the highest difficulty . Respectfully, Brian P. I think the poster was referring to a narrated YouTube video of gameplay through the campaign.

Hail, brothers and sisters of the Purple People Eaters, It looks as if we have reached a solid consensus, so we will move upon the xeno hive with all due haste. Buckle up, Templars, this ride is going to be rough! OOC, yes, xdesperado, you are right. The hive is a pure side mission, but is also a pretty tough one. I'll do my best to get us through unscathed, but don't be surprised if one or more of us come back in a body bag. Also, sorry about being absent, I was on a short vacation with my wife to the south coast and, after getting back, was slammed at work. I'm still busy as balls, but will hopefully be able to finish most of my backlog today. /OOC

Some very sad news, while the Purple People Eaters are currently running thorough our campaign, I must report the loss of Neptune Caelius Aurelius. We did, however, manage to bring his body back for extraction. We're hoping to find a replacement for him soon, as he was a valiant and honorable member of the squad who will be missed sorely.
He fell in the line of duty while staging a holding action against a swarm of xeno pressing into the squad.

Mourn not those lost in battle, for they have fallen with honor and now take their place in the stars with the gods. Forever lighting the path we forge ahead in their memory.

Through my scope I watched his last stand. Bodies piled high around him but still he fought on... When they got too close for bullets he battered them with his Repeater.
He will be remembered.
