I own a Nexus 6 and a Nexus 7 2013 WIFI. Both are running Android 6.0.1 with Cyanogenmod 13.0 SNAPSHOT ZNH5YAO0J7 Since a long time, the ship movement from dot to dot takes 2 seconds. It was faster in the past on the same devices. And on my previous phone the galaxy s2 with CM13.....

Disabling backgrounds, music and turning on 4xAA in developer settings made the game speed up a bit when I tried to speed up the game. It's not too fast, but it's manageable. According to devs it's not the game's problem... And since on Android 4.4.2 the game runs just fine, I am able to believe them. I wonder though, you said that in past it used to be faster. When did this problem start?

It was at the beginning of this year. After an update, the problem appeared. Sorry for the late screaming, but i didn't got time to report it. (( Disabling the mentioned things did not help. The game itself is smooth, only the moving animation is slow. How to open the developer settings in the pro version?

I get great performance on these devices: Google Nexus 7 (2013) ‑ Wi‑Fi (Stock OTA OS from Google) Google Nexus 7 (2012) (Stock OS) Google Nexus 6 (XT1103) (Stock OTA OS)

How to open the developer settings in the pro version? What do you mean? I do not understand the question. Sorry, i was thinking about a ingame option, but the first answerer was telling about the android stettings. Is it possible to deactivate the moving animation? I don't know any other way to fix the problem. Or how can i help you investigating the problem?

It is not possible to deactivate the moving animation, no. The moving animation simply asks the Android platform to animate the movement. If the Android OS animation rendering kit isn't working correctly on the device, I can only guess that the differences are resident in the differences in our devices -- perhaps a device setting or something unique to Cyanogenmod 13.0 SNAPSHOT ZNH5YAO0J7 which is not present in the default OS. I can really only test the main OS provided by Google, if I tried to support all the various roms, roots, hacks and build-it-yourself Android OS variations out there we'd never get anything done. I am very sorry to hear that you're having problems with your device. We have done as much as we can to support all versions of stock Android and test every release on more than a dozen devices looking for performance issues. If you feel that the game is unplayable on Cyanogenmod, I can request a refund for you from Google. I'm sorry

A refund would be the last solution i want. Because i love this game and it made fun to play it in my free time, until this bug came. I buyed the pro version from every of your games i play, because they are wonderfull. And they need not so many app rights like other apps in the play store. The weird thing is, the ship movement in star traders 4x PRO is working as fast as in the star trader RPG before it has this bug. Are there any differences in the code of there too game at the ship movement routine? Is it possible to choose the animation speed or let the ship teleport from dot to dot or teleport to the clicked dot?

Yes -- the ship movement in Star Traders 4X is hand coded in C++ and doesn't use anything in the Android OS. That game will be completely uneffected by most Android OS issues you might find in Cyanogenmod.
Star Traders RPG is a purely Android game and uses the Android OS animation. If there are problems with the Android OS, then you will see them in Star Traders RPG but might not see them in Star Traders 4X. The fact that you're seeing issues in RPG, but not in 4X, it almost certainly points to problems with the Android OS.
It is not possible to choose the animation speed or let the ship teleport from dot to dot. There are options in the game under "Options" that may help the Android OS issues be less obvious, but that depends a lot on what exactly is wrong with Cyanogenmod or whatever OS we're discussing.

Hand coded in C++? Sounds like a pain in the ass. I prefer C# or Java, or C in the past for the development. And i think in your other games, the movement routine is another one, too, because the Star Traders RPG is the only one with that problem. Will Star Traders RPG 2 be different or will it get the same problem? And could you tell me, which functions of the Android OS you use, to move the ships? I'm a developer, too, and want to investigate this problem.

Yeah, I used to prefer C# or Java as well until we had a few hundred thousand Android installs. Then we realized that Java is easy to use, but runs like crap because every version of Android OS has a dozen new bugs.
For example, Android 5.0.1 had an issue where if you played a WAV file in Stereo the Animation framework would crash / hang if you animated a PNG while the WAV file was playing on loop. Just an example, but Java just isn't worth the risk.
Star Traders 2 is fully coded in C++ and assembly, just like Heroes, Battleforce and Star Traders 4X. I don't think we'd ever be willing to go back to Java just because Android is so buggy.

C++ and assembler? That sounds like a hard work to get around from this bugs.
I think I don't want to refund and let you own my money to make Star Traders 2 better. It's not your fault, that i can't play it anymore on any device i own, because of the Android Bugs.
I will buy Star Traders 2, too, if i save enough money. (At the moment, I'm a poor pupil which study business computer sciences.)

Somehow I don't understand the OS versions like Stock OTA OS Stock Over-The-Air (OTA) -- the default, correct, as intended by the manufacturer, base installed OS without any additional add ons, hacks, options, developer options, secondary OS modules or modifications to the system OS image.
