Not sure if it's possible but would like to see the letter assignment on goods be given more of a weight based on relationship to average price and less towards the quantity in stock at least for what an exchange is selling.
Currently seems the higher letter grades more often reflect larger quantities for sale and not so much how far above/below the average price those goods are.
I can have 2 exchanges selling Medicine for example, both want $88 a unit but one lists an A- for them and the other a C-. Buying them out I might only get 5 from the C- exchange and they are out of stock while the second might sell me 10 and offer more at a lower letter grade and increased price.
Seeing a high letter grade when looking to buy should indicate better prices, greater chance to turn a profit on a good and not just that an exchange has plenty of a good they are selling at or even above the average pricing for that good.

Every letter grade represents a direct % based reduction / increase in buy/sell prices.
Quantity is more tied to Economy Rating than anything else.
Seeing a high letter grade when looking to buy indicates better prices, a much greater chance to turn a profit on a good.
Seeing a trade good for sale on a high economy world means that there is a larger quantity of the trade good for sale.
For a while we were printing the exact price percentage, but it was kinda confusing visually. I like the letter grades a lot better.
The purpose of them is to tell the player that they're about to get a really good price.

As I've said I often find 2 exchanges with different letter grades for goods they are selling but the exact same price listed for me to buy them. Only difference being how many they have for sale.

The Swedish word for bargain-priced-good is "FYND". So if you are browsing an online store, you often see FYND stickers on goods that are being offered at a discount. I sort of miss them in our stores. The other thing you often see is "NYA" (New) for things that they have just started offering. I don't know if the goods list ever changes in our exchanges, but if they do, I want to know when new products are added. Do planets ever improve over time? Decline?
aha. if A B C D E is only supposed to reflect prices, then I can report a bug. Same price, different letter depending on which exchange it is.

Sorry. I'm happy to try to explain further, or try to figure out what maybe is happening on screen?
All I can say is that is price differential on the zone economy demand/supply value is the entire basis of the econ simulator and I've got data on about 4,500 trades that indicate it is working.
Maybe we are talking about different columns? Global average will be the same regardless of the letter grade on the demand.

Hopping in to confirm -- Economy Rating determines quanities available, A/B/C/D/E determines price points!

Here is the math:
-10 = "A+" -9 = "A"; -8 = "A-"; -7 = "B+"; -6 = "B"; -5 = "B-"; -4 = "C+"; -3 = "C"; -2 = "C-"; -1 = "D"; 0 = "F"; 1 = "D"; 2 = "C-"; 3 = "C"; 4 = "C+"; 5 = "B-"; 6 = "B"; 7 = "B+"; 8 = "A-"; 9 = "A"; 10 ="A+";
-10 =175% -9 = 170% -8 = 160% -7 = 150% -6 = 145% -5 = 140% -4 = 130% -3 = 120% -2 = 115% -1 = 105% 0 = 100% 1 = 95% 2 = 90% 3 = 85% 4 = 80% 5 = 77% 6 = 74% 7 = 71% 8 = 70% 9 = 69% 10 = 68%

As a House Thulun Merchant, do I get better prices on House Thulun worlds than on Steel Song ones? Cause right now I have been buying Crop Harvesters at a House Thulun world with rating of C instead of Steel Song with rating of A- because they are the same price, and I figure it is better to help my faction's economy. Bug or Feature?

That captain and game is long since dead, but I will look for another case of this and save screenshots for you.

Not saying this code doesn't have bugs, but they're not standing out in the analytics.
There might be some condition we don't understand, or even a device bug on Android or something with floating point numbers.
Right now, I have our tests and the analytics and it seems to be working as designed. Lets keep the discussion going.

well, since xdesperado seems to be reporting it too, I suspect it is not an Android thing.

Good deal. I do most of my testing for trade systems on x64 Win7 and Win10, so we're getting very similar results.
Also good in case you want to send saved games.

I posted the exact math above so we can have an open and frank conversation about it.
We were talking about the cost of basic medicines, which have this base cost of $110.00
