Alta Mesa:

Said at launching ceremonies for new ships, and possibly also at funerals (for the ships and captains)
Not sure how traditional the Alta Mesa are as a rule, but being shipwrights it seems the sort of thing that would be passed down through generations, despite the presumably high tech and forward thinking nature of the rest of their dealings and culture. I'm looking forward to the lore book!

Clan Javat are beavers.
I think of House Thulun full of people who are as proud as Siamese cats, but the first cat may object to this one. Bowerbirds or Peacocks perhaps?

I think the insult for Mok should be something with a short attention span and a tendency to wander or scurry about.
Maybe something like insects or shrews

I like these animals that are two-sided. A peacock is a proud and cool animal, but you can also easily see how it is an insult. Same with hog, raptor, viper.
Maybe wasps is good -- they are bad ass but also such pricks.

Hey, LordofSyn do you know about this thread? I think you could come up with some good suggestions, considering you had a lot of ideas for crew trait barks in ST2 from that Twitch stream 1 or 2 weeks ago. |
