That's great, look forward to all your posts!
These two threads have really encouraged me to think and rethink about my current tactics. I've about half convinced myself to replace my Neptune with a standard rifleman. Ammo supply is really the last remaining big advantage the Neptune has over a standard rifleman, and there are lots of ways to get more ammo now. At 350 honor a turn, the difference is made up overall with the higher ammo weapons, and the squad would be a turn or two faster out the exit. Not much difference, I'm pretty good at moving my Neptune before he shoots.

Ahhh, but I've replaced my two free slots with Berserkers rather than shooters. The Neptune gives me plenty of firepower at range 4 to dominate my advance, my Chaplain commander gives me flexible melee and good shooting (the plasma pistol is very underpriced IMO) while the two Berserkers can be fitted out with bonus AP gear to give them great mobility or heavy gear to let them stand and take a pounding if need be.
My only issue is that the game sometimes decides that a Templar won't be able to react in overwatch mode and "eats" one of his reserved APs which puts me in the silly position of having an enemy two moves away getting in for a free attack instead of having a saved AP to get a whack at him. Of course, that is why I'm using a Chaplain and usually giving him the advanced gear to get extra heals.

It's the weekend over here so, as usual, I've fallen behind on the TB boards. Weekend + Age of Pirates alpha release tomorrow is putting a speed limit on my TA posts, but I'll get something written up either tomorrow morning or during my lunch break on Monday. I'm really glad that people are rethinking their tactics with these posts. That's really the beauty of TA, there are a bunch of different methods to play, non of which are particularly "better" than the others.
Also, you guys may have noticed that there is a new TA board, the Tips and Tricks board. If you have any ideas, feel like contributing to new players, or just want to give your play style a write up please feel free to do so. I know I will!
