In the screenshot you can see the handiwork of a Hydra Templar and a surviving Neptune Templar (with 41 ammo left.) Hydra: - Consumes all CP when used - Creates Persistent Damaging Fireball - Kills Xeno, PDF and Templar Alike - Requires Heavy Armo Neptune: - 50 Ammo - +1 CP for ANY successful hit - Cannot move after shooting - Requires Heavy Armo Attachments:

The Neptune heavy weapon specialists are the best in the quadrant for tunnel fighting and holding positions.
The Hydra incinerator specialists excel in open ground combat and in clearing large Xeno infestations.

Damn.
I'm w. BG, I'd be very excited about a weapon that would help in killing Adobe off. . . .. .
(seriously now, flame-throwers + machine-guns = "Awesome!")

Mmmmm, shield + high-evasion = "I want that guy at my back"
Or maybe at the front of my second pair instead, now that I think about it. (since my captain generally does pretty well as the front of his "pair")

Looks swanky.
Those aren't class-specific equipment, are they?

Impressions on the hydra? It certainly is fun There's only 2 things I think need to change and they're not major. One is because the hydra can attack with 0cp (multiple times, actually) but when he hits 0cp, the next Templar with CP is automatically selected or if nobody has cp, the turn automatically ends without giving a chance to use the hydra special attack. This can really screw everything, especially since I have been using the hydra to scorch the earth behind my squad, so the other three advance, the hydra brings up the rear and turns around to block the pursuing xenos... and the turn automatically ends with the xenos still quite raw. But if you make it so the turn won't end without the user pressing the button, problem solved. The other thing is even more minor. When fist is already selected and I use "special" to use the hydra, it says "Out of range". So I hit weapon to change to the hydra and it still says out of range so I have to abort the attack and use "Special" again and then it works. It's similar if there is an enemy in range and fist is selected. First it says out of range for fist so I switch to hydra and instead of a crosshair on every square between me and the enemy, there's only 1 directly on the enemy. If I abort and "Special" again there are crosshairs on every square. Those are the only things I've seen that are technical problems. I have plenty of opinions tho (surprise surprise!) I'll get to those later.

I do love the flamer. Awesome tactical advantage. I, too, noticed the above problems.
I wish one could requesition a flamer from the armoury though....
