Are the Xeno currently inactive? Both the Nyktos and Sidtax are Aggressive. The Sidtax seem to be hanging back so they can gather their forces in a new attack wave, while the Nyktos are sending individual or paired world killers at Cadar's Northern colonies at seemingly random intervals.

Yeah, money! The one thing that truly matters. Things are looking good, now that the Nyktos have retreated from the Belt. Now is the time to be extra aggressive and exterminate the Sidtax. We should take advantage of their weakened state to banish them from the Belt entirely.. I would suggest we ignore technologies like Moklumnue 1 for now to focus on better ship components, namely Superscale weapons.

I think we should try and take more ground with the Xeno. However, if it comes down to it, I would rather not gamble with the Xeno, and instead focus on improving infrastructure and ships.

11.28 AE There are only three systems in the Shimmering Belt left to invade. Once the Shimmering belt is taken, should we scout the Sidtax territory in the West for nearby systems to attack, or should we immediately attack the Nyktos in the Ascension Cluster? Another matter is that the Quadrant economy cannot sustainably support more warships. Researching infrastructure technology or voting to scrap some older ships may allow for more constructions. Quadrant Map:Military:Cadar's fleet consists of three torpedo-firing Arbalest Cruisers, two Plumbata-class fighters, one Harrier Interceptor assault fighter, one Templar Defender, and one Templar Explorer. Javat's fleet consists of two Arbalest Cruisers, two Plumbata-class MK II fighters, and one Harrier Interceptor. Moklumnue's fleet consists of two Rebuke Fighters, two torpedo-firing Refutation Cruisers, and three new Ballista Cruisers. The Ballista Cruisers were designed to make use of the Critical Strike technique from the Cadar Fleet Operations research. Unfortunately, they were accidentally trained in the normal Torpedo Strike instead. Templar Command will do there best to make sure no similar oversights happen again. Ballista Cruiser schematics: Colonies:Technology:We are currently researching Advanced Reactors 2. Known technologies: Event Log:10.?? AE Two Sidtax-controlled systems in the Northwest of the Shimmering Belt have been discovered: Vvylerock and Necroplain.
10.38 AE The recently discovered Sidtax system Vvylerock has been purged. It was notably more difficult to invade than any encountered Nyktos colony.
10.39 AE The Spy Battle between Javat and Cadar has ended after over two years. Science groups and intelligence agencies of these Factions were strained and fatigued during the conflict.
10.41 AE Sidtax launch a large attack wave of several ships of various weaponry. Star Traders report reduced Nyktos activity. The Sidtax has become our primary threat. A profitable Trade Meeting starts a Trade Route between Javat and Cadar.
10.45 AE Cadar colonizes Vvylerock.
10.46 AE The Sidtax attack wave was crushed, and what few of their ships survived retreated. Our invasion fleet scouts Ggoghothl with intent to conquer.
10.48 AE The Sidtax regroup and harass our invasion fleet. It seems the Sidtax won't make invading easy for us, but Javat and Moklumnue ships will do what they can to protect the invasion fleet.
10.50 AE Political efforts turn Javat and Cadar's Trade Route into a Trade Alliance. Now all the Factions have Trade Alliances with each other.
10.51 AE The Sidtax's vicious defensive swarm damages and exhausts our invasion fleet and its Moklumnue escort fleet. The Ggoghothl offensive becomes unsustainable, and our invasion ships retreat.
11.5 AE The Cadar-Javat Trade Alliance ends.
11.10 AE Political efforts restore the Javat-Cadar Trade Alliance.
11.11 AE Javat ends their Trade Alliance with Moklumnue.
11.23 AE Moklumnue Princes and Trade Czars agree to initiate a massive funding program for classified research and secret technology. Cadar leaders are concerned about this and starts a Spy Battle with Moklumnue. The Sidtax have not attacked for a while, and newly-built Ballista Cruisers have arrived to reinforce the Shimmering Belt, so the invasion fleet takes this opportunity to attack Ggoghothl once again.
11.27 AE Ggoghothl has been purged with suspiciously little resistance. It seems the Sidtax are building up strength to attack in another wave.
11.28 AE A Moklumnue colony has been established at Ggoghothl. Political efforts restore the Moklumnue-Javat Trade Alliance.

Moklumnue is not happy with the oversight on the new Ballistas, but we can still work with it. However, the schematics seem to be missing. It is my assertion that we should focus on the Ascension cluster first, which will also give us a decent tactical positioning to go after the Sidtax to the south. Another request to Templar command regarding the Ballista schematics is inevitable. As always, we appreciate the reports and are otherwise happy with the current status overall. May we all be victorious in the coming weeks.

//OOC The Ballista image is working fine for me, so I don't know why it is giving you an issue. If anyone else is having trouble seeing any of the images let me know. Also, I'm very annoyed with myself that I didn't give the Ballistas Critical Strike.

I'd say attack the Sidtax asap, they're the closest so it'll be easier to manage. Maybe have 2 faction navy's work together while the third takes a defensive position in case of opportunistic Nyctos?
Also I'd wait before decommissioning ships, might prove more useful to simply...not replace ships lost in the coming battle.

Although I dislike getting rid of ships, if it's needed, scrap them. If there's an advantage in pressing the attack upon the xeno, charge forward and don't look back. If there's room for more mines anywhere, build'em high!

Build mines high huh? I didn't know you could do that. Please, teach me how you build mines, and upwards too.

lordpax Step 1: mineral deposits are found high up the side of a mountain. Step 2: sheep are used to carry supplies up the side due to their high jumping abilities. Step 3: goats with explosives create tunnels and loosen deposits. Step 4: teams of gophers and prairie dogs bring out the goodies. Step 5: I realize I've been in the mine too long again and may have suffer brain damage while I confirm the viability of the steps above. Step 6: I pass out and fall to the floor of the spice hall because of too much vudka and spice because the complexities of step 5 drove me to drink. I really need to spend less time underground.

I saw that we must secure our flank, so the Ascension cluster must be secured.
Older ships should be retired and sold to Star Trader Captains, and infrastructure should be prioritized, especially in the new colonies.
We must have a powerful enough economy to support the navy.

13.10 AE Greetings esteemed delegates! The main topic I want to address is our strategy after taking the Belt. Last time I asked this, Brutus Aurelius of Cadar favored invading the Ascension Cluster to secure our exposed flank, while hissrad of Javat favored invading more Sidtax territory. I ask Javat and Cadar to find a concensus on this, or for Moklumnue to give a tie breaking vote. Also, I ask what kinds of ships we should construct in the near future. Heavy Carriers with plasma cannons, Battlecruisers, or something else? And my last question is related to my previous one. What should we prioritize in research? Quadrant Map:The Shimmering Belt contains more habitable systems than we previously believed. We have founded three new colonies since the last council meeting: Yiathuggu of Clan Javat, Frakmoore of Clan Javat, and Cursetear of Clan Moklumnue. Two more Sidtax systems have been recently purged, and are uninhabited; Urtsten has 6 Quality and 7 Minerals, and Rabosakeh has 3 Quality and 1 Minerals. There are only two more known Xeno worlds in the Shimmering Belt: Necroplain with 14 Quality and 11 Radiation (blue), and So-ph with 8 Quality and 16 Radiation (yellow). Technology:Economy and Politics:There has been a recession last year due to political instability and the maintenance costs of our fleets, but infrastructure developments have significantly increased our income since then. Trade Alliances have been broken and reforged between the last council meeting and now, but politics have returned to the way they were then, with Javat having a Tade Alliance with Cadar and Moklumnue, and the Spy Battle between Moklumnue and Cadar still ongoing.
Military:Several new ships have been constructed, and a few older ships have been scraped during the recent recession. Here are the design schematics of the newer ships: Iudex Falcon, a torpedo cruiser with Critical Strike training: Solace Cruiser, a durable railgun cruiser: Dancer-class, a boarding fighter with an emphasis on suitability: The current Cadar Fleet is guarding the Core Regions from Nyktos incursions from the North. It is composed of two Arbalest Cruiser (level 4 durable torpedo cruisers), one Templar Defender, and one Iudex Falcon. It also has one Templar Explorer stationed near asteroids to the West to watch for incoming ships, and one old Plumbata-class fighter watching the asteroids to the North. One Solace Cruiser is under construction at Cadar Prime. The current Javat Fleet is composed of two Plumbata-class MK II fighters, two Arbalest Cruisers, one Solace Cruiser, and one Iudex Falcon They are guarding the Northeast of the Shimmering Belt. Moklumnue has two fleets. The Rebuke and Refutation Fleet is composed of two Rebuke Fighters (level 4 high-Evasion fighters), two Refutation Cruisers (level 4 torpedo cruisers), and one Dancer-class. They are guarding our invasion ships and our newly established colonies at the Southwest end of the Shimmering Belt. The Shimmering Patrol Fleet is composed of two Dancer-classes, one Iudex Falcon, and two Ballista Cruisers (level 4 torpedo cruisers). They are protecting the long Northwest border of the Shimmering Belt from Sidtax and Nyktos incursions.
//OOC This took me a particularly long time to finish. It did not help that I accidentally refreshed the page when I was halfway done typing this update. I didn't write an event log this time because everything was the same from turn to turn, a slow march of burning Sidtax worlds one at a time, except for a relatively brief recession near the end.
