Cadar ships are built AROUND the torps. They are the Iconic mainstay of our lives. We embrace the Torp, for it fulfills us with glorious purpose. For what is a Torp, without its target... Nothing. It is space debris. It is refuse from the very bowels of our planet. It serves a doorstop, or a table leg. Add direction, and you have a reason for being. Add focus, and you have power. Add a reason... and you have found a religion. For none can walk the path of the Torp, without complete understanding the singularity of ones mind. For we all were once aimless, wandering pieces of space debris. Now we are united! We are focused! WE HAVE FOUND OUR REASON!!! We are Cadar, and we do not tread lightly! Each battle a holy war. Each conquest a sacred offering to our god. Each soul allowed sweet release, a tribute to our enduring and unalterable way of existence! We do not ask our God for peace... we ask for accuracy.
With that, you understand our ships. The Torps guide us. They speak to us, leading the way! Our ship, merely the conveyance. The Button... the button is our prayer!

You're getting into borderline blasphemy against the Law of Shalun here. Tread carefully, lest the Templar Knights hear your mad whispering.

Have you ever wondered why Steel Song and Xeno sound so similar? It's because they are one in the same. For me, I think Xeno's are the predecessors of Steel Song, and as such, it should be the Templar's sworn duty to help in the eradication of all things SS.

In the starting area of the map, if you need to satisfy a shortage rumour and make big bucks, Syndicate Capital is where you go to load up! So I like De Valtos.

And completing certain Scenarios (by achieving all available unlocks on that certain difficulty with a few Scenario Captains) gives that Campaign mode Captain more power-ups. Who knows, you might grow to love some of the Scenario Captains even more than your Campaign more Captain. ;D What better Campaign mode captain than the one you're going to achieve the Golden Age award with? Difficulty insane, Experience level 50! Might as well keep it going if you get that far on such a high difficulty.

That sounds like an awesome "Star Traders: Battlefleet" storyline

Actually, though I think Slayernz is right about ... something odd with the Steel Song ... that's what makes them so very very interesting. It's kind of odd, I like Cadar and SSong, but I usually run around as a DeValtos and hunt IN Steel Song space for pirates. Hell, you can kill ALL pirates, regardless of faction, with impunity. Just watch out for annoying Wars, and Alliances and you're set. rabid

The purpose is going to be to learn a bit about fellow Star Traders, especially how preferences are changing with time and new players. I find the pools fun to fill and watch. I am curious if Cadar is still the most popular faction given the fact that military torp campaign on the forum is not what it was a year or two ago.
I have been playing Cadar for some time, but they were too mainstream, so I switched over to Rychart some time ago. I also like that creepy feeling which Rychart faction got in fan fiction here on forum.

In order to help with threadomancy, I voted for being friendly with every faction. In fact, when I had discovered this game some time back, I played a ruthless pirate that attack on sight and as I played on easy, well I did get really successful. Recently, I tried a new captain from De Valtos (still a pirate though) and tried to keep positive rep with every faction by only taking job against independents. It's a bit harder but I like the flavor of it.
