I hate it when I'm 3 weeks away from having a contract expire, but my destination is 6AU away.
I hate it when I've just acquired the ship of my dreams (eg a Jango Class) through hard-earned cash, when I stumble across a Jango flown by level 1 merchant!
I really hate it when I'm trying to fulfill a shortage rumor (electronics), and I've flown to three or four planets to get enough electronics to fill my hold. I arrive at the shortage planet only to find
a) It's in fricking Trade Embargo with every nation that I actually like, or
b) The rumor has changed to something else

Erm, I hate it when I finally save enough money to get a new ship or an upgrade, and the planets I land on either don't have the ship or won't sell it to me after I torped persistant bounty hunters. Hey, I warned them to leave me alone the first time I wrecked their friends, I shouldn't have to broadcast warning signals everytime I pass through! >:{ I hate it when I find a friendly faction at war/dueling/slap-fighting another faction and run to the nearest cluster to find that absolutely none of them have contracts for the war. >.> |

When I spend time working my rep up enough for a faction navy to take me on so I can buy an upgrade, then finally get military rank and the upgrade's gone. Yeah, pretty much the same as what Officer Genious said, but it happened to me a couple of days ago and I was annoyed about it. |

I hate it when you take on a well-paying nearby mission only to realize that it involves delivering more plants/clothes/Rychart hats than you can possibly carry in one trip if you starved your crew in the first place.

I hate it when... ... contracts are false. Really nasty when I accept a contract/quest for a faction and finding out its all for ANOTHER faction at the end. Can't even junk the contract siting false pretenses because it affects AWARDS contract completion. Heck, not even dying irritates me as much. Wish I could chainsaw the contract giver  rabid |
