You know ... I'd love it if the political officer actually told you who the factions were that had a trade embargo. Like if you were on a Cadar planet, and got a warning "Thulun and Steel Song have a trade embargo with Cadar at present". That way you could say "Hey, I've got -1600 RP on each of those factions so pissing them off will be icing on the top of a good trade." Most of the stuff I am trading these days comes from dismantled parts of Steel Song ships I defeat anyway

Love to see a save game and load game so when you die you don't have to start over. This would also help when you make a mistake.

In Basic and Normal, you can't permanently die so you don't need to worry about saving. Also, your opposition is so much weaker that after you master the basics of the game, you are able to rule the galaxy with impunity. (What, that Steel Song ship dares cross my path?!? Attaaaaack!). At levels higher than Basic and Normal, permanent death is that thing that keeps you from being stupid (stupid captains tend to die pretty quick). It means that hopefully the skills you have built up from your Basic/Normal games will translate into success in higher level games. Don't get me wrong, dying really sucks and dying because some enemy ship rammed you sucks even more. Nonetheless, it's still more satisfying knowing it's (mostly) your skill that has kept the captain alive long enough to see the new Century in

Ditto what SlayerNZ says above. I don't care that "embargoes exist" -- I care *WHO* has them (without having to go fishing for the information that my political officer is too incompetent to tell me herself). "Umm, yeah, my friend Kathy was talking to Cindy, who heard from her brother Robert, that Ellen's BFF Sarah told Amy that her mom would really hate it if we went shopping here. I think she works for a Syndicate, or a House or something...?" My character Vlad is a Syndicate man. The Houses... aren't his friends. Speaking of which, the following is trivial and stupid -- and will likely earn me much hate from the entire rest of the ST community -- but it has always bugged me, so here goes... I *DO* distinguish between Houses and Syndicates. Easier to remember who my friends are. All the "Syndicates" have "Syndicate" in their name. Easy. Two of the "Houses" are named "Clan", and one is named "House". Less Easy. This inconsistency is the hobgoblin of my little mind. Any chance the names can be tweaked, or is this the ultimate heresy for a long-established and highly popular game...? Yeah, didn't think so. Just thought I'd mention it...

I haven't seen any Honor/Pride ships flying around for C/B/P ... so for now I still keep an eye peeled for Royal class ships.

Worm holes? One on each side of the galaxy. Maybe 1 in the middle. I know this would make things a little easier of course you ciuld make so that aliens were very drawn to them knowing they could prwy on unsuspecting traders passing throq them.and very frequently encounters occured near them. Or maybe passing through them did damage that caused weapon and/or engines to inoperable for a short stint due to concentrated "electro-magnetic radioactive static interference" emmiting from the worm hole, Just to prevent overuse.

OOo ... Worm hole locations will provide a fertile hunting ground for those chasing Alien bounty!
I like the radiation aspect but it should affect crew not systems - the crew have a 1% chance of spontaneously mutating into aliens
Also ... the destination of the worm hole is not exactly a co-ordinate ... it's more of a "you'll arrive somewhere in this vicinity".
Me ... I'd like to have an upgrade "Long Range Sensors". They provide you details of the ships in the co-ordinates one AU from your ship. You can then see if it is likely you will have an encounter with an enemy ship if you move from (1,5) to (1,6).
Of course, given it is only a 1AU range sensor, you can't see ships moving into range (eg, from (1,7) to (1,6)) at the same time as you do. This means there is still a chance of encounter, but it can be less/more than current chance based on your decisions.

What if blockading a planet drove price down gradually over time as merchants on the Planet became Desperate to sell their goods, so being greedy little teader we all are we could force prices down on cwrtain goods on the planet below and swoop in and buy them up.

Wouldn't blockading force prices up - because there'd be a shortage of new material, but merchants will still be able to sell their goods domestically. In saying that, if you blockaded long enough, you'll find yourself banned from the exchange so higher or lower prices becomes a moot point
