Hmmm, I found in E1A1, in vermin under tunnel, a secret door, or maybe it was not secret but something who open when you pass in front of, I'm not sure actually... But I think it is one, I think I click on the wall, can't remember... Someone else found it? (in the center of the map, with a southie entry) And great job " vdx", the list will really help! |

Found secret doors in episode 1, act 1 and act 2 as of v1.2.27 and the date of this post. E1A1 Escape from Red Hill: 1 Vermin lair (1st section): 1 Vermin lair (2nd to last section): 2 Are you sure about those? I found: Escape from Red Hill: 1 Vermin Under Tunnels: 1 Vermin Lair: 2 I suspect your "Vermin lair (1st section)" should really be "Vermin Under Tunnels" because I've searched and searched in Vermin Lair, and can only find 2. And they are both in the 2nd to last room of the level, which is what I thought you meant by "2nd to last section". But now I think you are using "section" to mean the levels between the North Vault and the Cursed Temple. That would make sense, since the Vermin Under Tunnels are the first level, and Vermin Lair is the 2nd to last if one counts the Temple as the last. So do I have that right, or is there really a 3rd secret door in the Vermin lair level? I don't want to go down the stairs to the temple until I'm sure. |

Hmmmm, khearn I think you might be right, the last time I played Vermin Lair I think I only found 2. I wasn't trying to be totally thorough though. I have a group that is just starting the Vermin Warren, but I'm not going to get a lot of playing in this week, so it might take me some time to get to the far end of Vermin Lair to confirm. I'll check it out though. |

Hello, I just started playing 2 days ago and I don't understand the secret door thing. According to this thread there is a secret door in the very first map, but I checked everything and didnt find one. There was a spot that said "did you hear that" and had no enemy, but it was an unmissable area, not hidden and not secret at all, and the chest contained 2 blue potions if I remember right.
I also found a similar thing in the third cave, in the area with multiple large rats. After killing all the large rats I got a message saying "did you hear that" but clicking all the walls I didnt find anything, there was 1-2 chests in that area but there were not hidden at all.
Anyway, hopefully someone documents the exact locations of all the secret areas. In any case I'm having a lot of fun, this is a pretty cool game! Only thing bothering me so far is how slow everything is, walking back and forth to the camp spot every 2-3 fights on the third map made me put the game down yesterday, I wish there was an option for walking faster and for resolving combat turns faster.

narana - Welcome to the forums! The game pace takes a little getting used to, but believe it of not we've speeded it up quite a lot. Back in the alpha the characters used to leisurely stroll from one end of the map to the other. These days they are downright sprinting in comparison! Anyways, always nice to see a new face around here. Always feel free to post any questions of concerns, we're glad to help out.

There's a secret door in Episode 1 Act 2 in the level called "Officer Barrack". When arriving in the level, take the first door on the left, it is to the left of the barrel.

There's a secret door in Episode 2 map Red Hill Storerooms, it's in the top right room, on the west wall.

narana, my list of secret doors in episode 2 is far from complete yet. In fact, I need a volunteer who would be willing to go through and keep careful track of how many he/she finds in each level. ...ehhheem... Actually I've got a couple of groups going through as well right now. They're going slowly, but i will try and keep track this time. How did it go with Geraux (gatehouse fight) btw?

I though I was gonna die, was almost all enemy archers, my off tank cleric couldn't hold either side since 1 melee+4 archers was too much for her, I didn't have idea so I pressed alt-f4 to close game. When I returned later, I was outside the fight, and when I triggered it again, the top enemies over bridge were all melee, so it was plenty easy to have the cleric off tank hold the bridge while the warrior main tank held the boss+melee+archers from bottom and right. Archer+mage shot dudes, I won.
Feels like I cheated though since I somehow reset the fight to much easier without having to die. Officially my game has no death in nightmare episode 1 but unofficially I probably would have died a couple times vs the original enemies that had spawned in that fight.
For the secret doors, I'll keep posting those I find in episode 2 as I play through it. For episode 1, the only door I found that wasn't listed on the episode 1 map or in other posts in this thread was the one I mentioned a few posts above.

There's a secret door in Episode 2 map Red Hill Storerooms, it's in the top right room, on the west wall. Oh! Just wrote a post about it! but actually there is a second one, same if it is very easy to find it, it still a secret door. (First room, go to the right) |

Just found an unmentionned secret door in episode 2 map "construct depths". It is in the corridor east of the stairs, on the southern wall, contains a chest.
